TDL return won't be what we'd be hoping for. We'd be getting picks and prospects.

I think Nuge can be a first line center on quite a few teams
- Ihatebrianburke

Can he be? Sure, but he won't be a top-end 1C. I can see him being 1C on Arizona, Minnesota, Ottawa, maybe Vegas, New York Rangers and Montreal depending on how you classify Domi (C or W).

He certainly likes negotiating with ex-Wings.

I agree....Nuge is a top end 2C but I don’t know if he can be a #1 anywhere in the league

I don't think he should be. He can, though.

If Duchene is a 1C then Nuge is as well

I think the Sens did just fine today with all things considered.

Lucic would be a good fit for them

If the Oil retained some salary he probably would be.

Can't believe Spezza is making over 10x less this year than last year.

Anaheim, Arizona, Minnesota, Montreal, New Jersey, New York Rangers, Ottawa, Vegas. So 1/4 of the league.

One positive is that I don't think the Oil have signed any stupid contracts since Koskinen. I guess he could still prove me wrong.

I'd prefer to do nothing than do the Lucic thing all over again.

The Sekera buyout is definitely questionable now unless we see something else happen with that cap space.

Maybe he challenges Benson for a spot. Jurco should be on a two-way contract.

The Sekera thing isn’t good if they don’t do something productive with it....yes they didn’t overpay guys but I would have signed Nyquist to that deal or 5.75 mil

Yeah I'm really having a hard time understanding the Sekera deal......(sees Gardiner still unsigned)

There are quite a few signings that I would have liked the Oil to make but unless those players were real possibilities for the Oil (i.e., the player had as much interest in Edm as their final destination), then this is just fantasy land judgement based on options that probably never really existed. Maybe information will leak about some of Holland's potential deals that never turned out later but as of now that kinda speculation is just silly.

It was the first thing I thought of when I heard Sekera was being bought out.

The road to a top 6 forward is through a trade now and I’m not so sure he can pull that off....I think we still have over 5.5 in cap space so we could make it work money wise

The Canadiens have announced that they have tendered an offer sheet to restricted free agent Sebastian Aho of the Carolina Hurricanes. The proposed contract is for five years, with an average annual value of $8.454 million.

Your move Carolina
