I can’t help but wonder what ferglund is worth and what term. Imagine adding JTM, Ferglund up front and then Benn and Myers on the back...

I would not want to play that team.

JTM - EP - BB
Ferglund - BH - beirchi (this is his year)
Pearson - gaudette - JV
Rousell - beagle - motte

Each line has a guy that sucks to play against and some skill (minus the 4th line)

The boys on SN650 said about 5 times last week that Ferland has said he does not want to play in Vancouver.

Boeser 5/7m
All RFA’s 1/1m
Roussel on IR
LE, Schaller, Biega, Brisebois, Sautner demoted

Gives us over 4m cap space

Sutter for Sobotka +

Buyout Sobotka saves 2.8 and 3.3 over the next two years from Sutter's last two years.

Smyl sort of hinted on draft day that Gaudette would return to Comets for more development.

Kesler had a half up half down year and then went back for 78 games in the AHL season later.

I think we are done shopping for the year after we pay prospects their bonuses and sign the RFAs we will be close to the cap max.

Yes and no. As we saw in the playoffs Makar is a stud. He’ll staunch the loss of Barrie’s points for sure. They also have another D prospect or two coming?

Barrie will make TO a better regular season team, but don’t think he’ll add to their playoff success. We all see how toronto folded much more easily when their only sandpaper in Kadri was gone. They’re definitely not a tougher team to play against because of this.

Toronto was the better team in the Boston series ... rask was just the better goalie

I hope we don't go big name shopping now and put a little trust that at least one of the prospects is ready next year.

Breaking: Golden Knights looking at trade options for Nikita Gusev

A source told The Athletic the sides are far apart in negotiations, and Vegas could deal the Russian star if they can’t fit him under the cap.

What’s his skill set? Second line with Bo? What would it cost?

As far as cap trouble goes, Canucks still have about 11 mil to play with and they just took on 20 mil in new signings in the last two weeks. If that is cap trouble then please put me in cap trouble every year.
- VANTEL

The fact that we are in cap trouble at this point in a “rebuild” is absolutely deplorable. Benqualini is embarrassing. We need to shed more dead weight.

What about gusev? Similar #s to panarin in the KHL. Might be a good way to add to the top 6.

To Vegas:
- goldy, motte, 5th

To Canucks:
- gusev, reaves

I know nothing about Gusev. I think I saw him play for about 5 minutes at the worlds this year. He's probably asking the standard too much from Russia. I wouldn't bother.

What I might consider to make the Van fans super happy is a Virtanen for Reilly Smith deal.

Uses the last of Van's cap space but saves VGK 3.75 in cap space that they could use to sign Gusev.

Vancouver doesn't have 7 million in cap space needed for that. Hear Gusev wants around 4-5 million per season.
