Marcus Johansson said he wants 5 mill a year, or that's what his agent is looking for. - SABRES 89
It's all about term. 2 years, $10 million is just fine. 3 years at $15 million isn't going to kill you either. Anything longer than that is a problem. |

I didn't hear if he asked for a trade but our fiend on here Boss34 said that he heard Risto wants out. If Botterill wantd to move him, he would be gone by now but it's still early. - SABRES 89
They have been trying to move him since the deadline |

Botterill wants the best deal for the money, he didn't let Girgensons walk or Larsson walk, he doesn't want to lose them for nothing, why I don't know, they have done nothing since they been here. He doesn't like dead money either. Brian Boyle would be a perfect add for 2 years. |

Ha, We could have had Caufield or even traded up with our 31st. Dont think Botts or scouts are big on him but I like your thinking - lulags
It would cost 9 1sts and Risto. It's clear the price to acquire him is well worth it, though. |

Risto is also our ONLY movable piece that will land us a 2C |

Huge mistake moving Risto - SABRES 89
Agreed. Even if he's not happy...force his ass to try things out with the new coach and a better D corps. If he's still unhappy at the deadline trade him and cash in big-time. |

Agreed. It's probably fantasy, but collecting Boyle and Thornton would be supreme. Marleau did a ton for those kids in Toronto. Having those two along with Ralph setting the tone in the locker room would be something else. |

If he is bad under yet another coach his value will have dropped that much further. Move him now for 2C. |

If it were not for the fact that we have zero options for a 2c I would agree, but the 2c situation is dire. We will ruin Mitts career by forcing him to 2c again and we will ruin Samson by forcing him to play centre |
|
|
|
The ONLY way I would take Kyle Turris is if Okposo was the price being sent back to Nashville.
We need centers, they need wingers. Both are on $6M deals, Okposo’s expires a year sooner. Both have put up similar point totals. Both are about the same age. Both have had injury issues.
Seems like a fair swap to me. |

We definitely need to solidify the middle 6. Even if it's a 2a/b situation toward the end of the year.
Seems like the viable options are trade, Dzingel or Johansson. - thatsapickle
The fat lady hasn't sung yet. I'm hopeful. I think Marcus Jo will be cheaper and can switch to wing, so I'm hoping for him, but we shall see, might be a pipe dream. |

Little more food for thought.
Ralph stated he wants to be harder to play against, acquire some players with the grit and snarl effect. There's still some decent bottom 6 forwards that would be much better than the Lockport trio. |

Marleau would have been a huge land just for the young guys. Would have catapulted a few of our young guys confidence. |
