Offer sheet 2007 for Vanek was 2007

2008 #1 Eberle
2009 #1 Paajarvi
2010 #1 Taylor Hall
2011 #1 RNH

Id say it would have been worth it

You can't really do that, though. Vanek was a very good player. I don't think he necessarily elevates them to a playoff team, but they aren't as far down the standings with him, either.

I'll never forget where I was. I was pulling into a Noco and almost pulled an "O'Reilly" before there was an "O'Reilly".

Car, meet side of building.

I was in my buddy's pool, had the radio on, they announced it, and I'll be totally honest, he was way more thrilled than I was. I knew Drury recently won the cup and he was a nice depth player for them. But I had no idea what he'd become, and I don't think anyone else did either.

I realize that. There is no actual way of telling what number the picks would have actually been. Just purely for fun

I remember the speculation was that the Sabres were going hard after Todd Marchant, probably because he was from Western New York, and then the news about the Drury trade came down, which eliminated that.

Garf filled his shorts when we drafted Kassian, so..
- TheSabresTaco

I wonder if he knows something. Unlike Ek Garf has had a couple of items over the years, although I think some of that was knowing someone near the Blues and not the Sabres.

You have no clue.

It was 47 yards on grass. Certainly not a chip shot.

Hate all you want, it's on marv and the game plan.

Ball control, use Thurman.

Gardiner is definitely a Botterill player. I'd really like him to sit right behind Dahlin in the lineup.

I also demand the 'who goes' speculation that would occur immediately after the signing.

Sabres one of Gardiner final teams
- sbroads24

Gardiner is a LhD and plays the left side, correct?

Maybe the Sabres then package McCabe and Risto for an awesome 3rd pairing duo, lol.

I Would Love it just to Rub it into Toronto's face 8x a year!

Toronto media going insane over how Marner could do this to them LMFAO!

Instead of asking why TO management hadn't locked him up early, and allowing a young Star to reach RFA without a contract is not good idea.

They actually had the nerve to BLAME Buffalo for signing Eichel early long term!

Who didn't know Eichel was Special?

- MEBSabresFAN

They'd laugh at us. He's as polarizing and Ristolainen.

Sabres have 10 dmen currently.

Bogo
Scandella
Risto
Dahlin
McCabe
Pilut
Miller
Hunwick
Montour
Nelson

Add Gardiner and that is 11.

3 would need to go.
Scandella
Risto

Dahlin - Bogo (succeeded as a pair)

Gardiner - Ristolainen (Risto can let Gardiner carry the puck)

Pilut/McCabe - Miller (Pair of great puck movers)

Casey Nelson

Allows you to trade Scandella and McCabe.

Deep thoughts with Jacky Handy-

What if Cozens is good enough to play 3RW this year.

Wait nvm he's a bust

1)CHL player in a draft with heavy talent from USNDP
2)No talent
3)Ass Clown
4)Will never age
5)Will never gain weight.

Apologies for wasting everyone's time.

Pilut and Bogo are hurt anyway. Dahlin, Gardiner, Montour, Miller, McCabe and Nelson play to start. Risto and Scandella die in a fire/are traded. Hunwick is the 7th D until Pilut comes back, then Nelson is.
