Why are signing Jason we just got vesey
And he had his last game Celebration let him go - gerbe75pts
If it completely eliminates the possibility of elie playing,I'm cool with it |

Elie is going to play in Rochester next year. So don’t even worry about it |

I’d be ok bringing him back in a bottom6 role,
but we already have like 9 bottom6 guys
No room unless we can dump quite a few players |

After driving from Orlando to Buffalo the last two days all I can say West Virginia is the worst state in the Union.

Four little boys riding their bikes toward a threatening supernatural thunderstorm of doom. Actually seems appropriate. |

This is true except for Biscuit World.
You have to go to Biscuit world.
It’s the only good thing West Virginia has |

Sure
Just seems like most here are down on him
Or at least not expecting him to be good for a few years
Just trying to talk ppl down a bit on here
Mitts can still become a really good player - jdfitz77
I'm confused on your position on Mitts and 2C.
You call people of for having expectations too high on Mitts, may need 2 - 3 years to reach 2C.
Yet at 2C you are very concerned about the cost to acquire a suitable 2C for 2 years, nor fo you see the value in reducing the cost by lower the quality of a short-term 2c.
What is your desire at 2C?
Mine is very clear. An Eric Stall-like acquisition, and would be ok for a RNH-like acquisition as well who can slide to wing for a longer solution. |

LAST YEAR...
i told ppl not to assume he’d be a stud right away
Most on here were thinking 50pts was the minimum
And many thought he’d be Barzal-like
BUT NOW...
the overreaction has swung in the other direction & ppl are too low on him
What do i want for 2C this year...
*i don’t have a set position
-if we can acquire a guy like Staal for CHEAP, who is signed for 2yrs or less at a reasonable Cap hit, them I’m cool with that
-if we can acquire a Brayden Point (or similar guy who is a really good 2WAY PLAYER), then I’d like that a lot... depending on what we’d have to give up of course. Other guys mentioned like Cirelli or W.Karlsson would’ve worked too. Not sure who is/isn’t available
-
***if neither of those options present themselves...
I’m ok with our Top3 centers being Jack, Casey & E Rod
No, that’s obviously not ideal
But Mitts is here and will be better
and Cozens isn’t far behind
and Asplund looked really good towards the end of last season
Our center depth for the future is REALLY GOOD
REALLY, REALLY GOOD
The last thing we needed to do was overpay for Duchene, or Hayes, etc
And even worse would be to make a move out of desperation to acquire someone like Turris for long term with a big Cap Hit, who is declining
That should sum up my feelings pretty well for ya,
for what it’s worth

The Staal thing is never going to happen. Part of the reason he took a value contract was to get a NTC
We're probably going to roll with Erod and Mitts, barring a trade |
