Sure. But would you give that tag to Gaudreau? Two playoffs in a row he's been ineffective, and yet I'd take him in a heartbeat - for a playoff series or otherwise.

All of these guys, you're right, have to learn to play through that. They need to WANT the payoff enough to go to the areas they don't normally want to. In some cases it's not even perimeter play - it's just the increased attention to detail in a series.

I used Gaudreau as an example, but he was pretty fantastic against Colorado and couldn't buy a break.
