Actually just poked over the Flyers page...why are you guys so obsessed with comparing yourselves to our team. Don't you have your own issues to deal with?
- TPC

They’re are scurd of what we will become shortly. The whole league should be a as a matter of fact. Rangers are going to be an absolute force

Rangers and Avs will be the teams other teams model themselves after in about 3 -4 years.

Silly Jan, you don't have to ASK for people to put line ups on here!! Just sit back and count to 30.
And only one guy has any reservations about Quinn. I think you're giving him too much power!!!

The rangers accomplished in one year what the flyers have been trying to do for the last 8

I bet you our second overall pick will score more goals than your second overall pick

Lol, it was just me just tossing out there a question / thought on how people thought of Quinn... and whether this complete rebuild of the team and players with non-NA style of play would affect his coaching.

No one else questioned this, lol.

all your eggs are in the panarin/trouba basket. 20 mil.

For a top line winger and a top 4 D.

Good luck

I hope you are right. I still think to some degree Tampa is the standard though they don't have the cups to show for it. Those frankers always seem to just barely avoid cap hell time and time again.

I think we are stylistically like Chicago, who had a bunch of cheap young players at the beginning and were aggressive. There's no direct comparison to hank, but Georgi/Shesty could be like Niemi and (Lindblom?) could wind up being like Crawford for the second leg. It's fair to say that no one is as good as Kane yet in terms of forwards, but Kakko/Kravstov are realy high impact youngsters. It's our D that isn't up to snuff yet with what those guys had.

I’m actually questioning Quinn not on the whole European thing but moreso can he now coach a winning team in the NHL?

Yes, he’s a great coach for young kids and we have a ton of them but the team is clearly ready to take the next step in the rebuild. Is he able to do more than just hold the players accountable and teach kids? Can he prevent being outcoached by some of the other veteran coaches in the league?

It's a legit question. No one when Quinn was hired thought we would be this far into the rebuild this fast. He was hired thinking it was a multi year process. I wonder if Gorton thought he was kind of the caretaker for a few years. As much as I love DQ for establishing accountability, we know that isn't going to fly with Trouba/Panarin. Just hope that he can guide a contending team.

Well Zib had his best year, Hayes was on his way to his best, Kreider was having a really good season, etc... He did pretty good with the vets

Well he has yet to have an opportunity to coach a potential winning team in the NHL. I say give him a chance before we start questioning if he can't.

As far as line combos, Kakko is a RW. The center position is a mess, its hard to judge who will start where. Strome has the experience, Lias and Howden have the potential. I think theyll all get rotated around between 2-4 lines and get chances to show what they got. With all the faith they have in Lias, I think it might come down to him and Strome for the 2C.

What they need is a guy on the ice to back up Quinn.

To give him some confidence I would put Lias with our 2 best forwards (Panarin and Kreider if he’s still here). Playing with those 2 he could rack up some points and start gaining confidence. I know it’s not a popular opinion on here but I still think our best bet is to split Zib and Panarin. With so many young kids on the roster the vets could really help with some of their development. Panarin is going to score 75+ no matter who he’s playing with. Zib proved last year playing with Kreider and Buch he could score 70+, with Panarin on a 2nd line or vice versa Zib, teams will have to pick which line they want to try and shut down.

Definitely not writing him off, but I think it’s one of the bigger question marks heading into the season.

You don't think upper brass thought of this when they made the hire? I have full confidence in Quinn. He's a professional through and through. Nothing cute, work hard and play hockey.

There will be a time when we need to move on, but now is not that time. Don't forget, we're still one of the youngest teams in the league.

Going off the current roster, I can see something like the below. I think this has every player in their natural position/preferred side.

Panarin - Zib - Kravstov
Kreider - Strome - Kakko
Chytil - Howden - Buchnevich
Nam - Andersson - Fast
