I’m starting to think Babs will play Muzz/Barrie.

Who the hell does Rielly get to start the season? Barring a miracle Ceci can handle it I could see Lil getting it...

Liljegren hasn’t progressed at all offensively but defensively he’s made massive strides.

Looks like they are going with Ceci. He's only 25, was a point a game d-man for the Ottawa 67's, where he captained a team that included Sean Monahan. He scored 6 points in 10 games at the World Cup in 2016. He can skate and he's replacing the likes of Marincin, Hainsey and Zaitsev. Let's see!
- winsix

Yeah he interests me.

He played for a tire fire and believe it or not he’s played with worse D partners than him his entire career.

Kerfoot got more than Kapanen and Johnsson.

But everybody said goals gets more money than points.

Healthy Webber all year. A few other guys coming into their own. I mean 2 more wins and they were in. Farfetched?
- aminnes

Yes. They highly overachieved last season.

I'd be shocked if they're even close to last seasons output. But, to be fair, Price can always Price it up.

It's kinda funny. I originally thought Liljegren was supposed to be an offensive defender, but from what I've heard, he's mostly been focusing on his defensive game the last couple seasons until he's now more of a defensive defender, only the good kind.

Actually, he might end up being the type of defensemen alot of people are complaining we need right now.

Of course, if he puts more focus on offense, I bet he'll be able to improve that too.

Are you the one that posted his defense partners a day or two ago? I remember reading the list and just feeling sorry for the poor bastard.
He might look a lot better with a decent partner and an actual good team.

It's the exact same thing that Babcock did with Rielly. Only difference is that Liljegren got started on it a lot sooner than Rielly did.

Little tidbit for you guys who hate the stretch pass.

Ceci was 58th in the league in stretch pass completion.

And for Barrie...I don’t know the exact number but I read he was near top in the league and much higher than any Leaf.

Kerfoot is an established 40 point guy which means Lou would have given him 6 million per.

Seriously though 3.5 million is not a lot at all. He actually has proven more than Kapanen has.

Wheeler always has good write ups.

He said he is likely going to be a possession driving 3rd pairing D with 2nd pairing upside.

Which isn’t horrible he will be cost effective for the next 5-6 years.

But he’s a guy that probably can slot in anywhere if there are injuries.

Sweet,
4 picks over the next 4 years that are probably mid round or worst.

I'd rather trade him if he wants to play hardball.
