I think Nylander's deal will be a bargain. I know he had an off year last season but throughout history most players that sign late struggle for parts of if not most of the year.

The kid just turned 23 and already has two 61 point seasons under his belt and was an elite talent in his draft year.

With all the Mitch drama and the offersheets being thrown around by Montreal, I find myself very happy that Dubas gave Matthews a deal he was willing to sign during last season before he was ever exposed to an offersheet.

With Max Domi as RFA next summer, I doubt Bergevin wants to p** on Dubas's cornflakes. Lou isn't going to sway Marner to leave Toronto without grossly over-paying the going rate and that just does not sound like Lou.

I find it very hard to believe he gets offer sheeted. This is all pure speculation and filler for the talking heads. Basically Marner-Kawhi, Kawhi-Marner. Yap yap yap, blah blah blah.

60 points is meh value. Especially considering he does nothing else on the ice. If he could creep up into the 70s or 80s then that contract becomes valuable.
