There isn’t a huge difference between the players, but Draisatil is better and has also proven he can handle playing a 2C role.

Sam put on his big boy pants this year, if last year was any indication of what’s to come then I’m excited for his progression. I’m not going to apologize for being disappointed with his first 3 seasons though as a 2nd overall pick seeing the success of Draisatil, Nylander (although last year was bad) and even a guy like Larkin.

I agree he's better, though I don't know to what extent. I don't think he's anywhere near a 100 point player without McDavid, and I'm not sure how good of a center he is. I think there's a chance that if we had drafted him instead of Reinhart, we could be having the same conversation

This I agree with. If he could ever put it together though and become the player we thought we were getting when we drafted him our RW depth would look a lot better.

Florida has got to be the trade partner...they're pretty strong up front and might be looking to shore up the d-corps...

I agree with this. We can’t go into the season with hoping / banking on johnnson being 2C. The Sabres did that with Leino and how did that turn out

I guess we'll see what botts does...adding Johansson does wonders for a pretty weak top-six and if Olofsson pans out it's even better...I ain't worried about the defense as much as other people....not worried about risto either...defense by committee anchored by a stud with a group of forwards playing a system that has them all on the same page in every zone...that would help immensely
