Hope we see a 4th line of VO Asplund and Nylander. Should go great on the PK - TheSabresTaco
Idk, i'm not big on Toffoli. If we're adding a RW, i'd hope it would be a better one, and then i assume Sheary would be a piece going the other way. I guess Sheary for Toffoli straight up? we add a 5th? |

I am not a huge fan of Toffoli but you get laughed at for this offer

Probably. They had near-identical seasons last year. I suppose the Kings would be selling teams on 30-goal potential instead of last year
What do you think the trade would look like? |

That's the problem with the Kings - they won't want the same garbage that we don't want but I think we can do better than Toffoli for Risto. I suppose McCabe would get it done. |

Any idea of the talk of the return?
My guesses/hopes. I am not including all of them in one deal, just the players I would guess to be targets.
Yotes - Dvorak? Keller (pipe dream)
Kings - Toffoli +, I wish Iafallo or Kempe played RW.
Edmonton - RNH, Jurco, Puljujarvi +
Florida - Huberdeau (pipe dream), Trochek, Dadonov, Hoffman - thatsapickle
Who’s Jurco??? |

I'm pretty sure Risto has almost no value at this point. If he did, he would be traded already. There are so many teams that need defensemen, especially RHD. He will either get traded for something like Toffoli straight up (i'd still jump on that), or he will be back in buffalo.
McCabe actually has better value probably. |

I think Gardiner is holding up a Risto move. With no real information to support this claim, which ever team is looking for a RHD that doesn't get Gardiner will look at acquiring Risto. |

Underwhelming returns?
If there was something worthwhile, I would imagine he would consider. - thatsapickle
the only way they move risto, is a massive over payment
risto, miller and montour all on cheap deals
he's not giving risto away because half the fans on hockeybuzz want him gone |

He played some at RW for Frolunda if I'm not mistaken and I know he was the RW on their PP. I just love the idea of him on his off wing with Eichel. In my view he is the most likely candidate to switch amongst the LW's. I hate the idea of Sheary on the right. It won't work. - mhp
Worked with Sheary on the RW in the Top6 when they won 2 Cups....

Noooooooooooooo. Have you ever been in a negotiation? These things don't happen overnight. On day 1 of UFA the top guys go and then everyone else settles in for days/weeks of negotiation. You're right - lots of teams need D and that's probably why he hasn't been traded yet. |

I don't claim to have inside information. I just mean, he is awful. I watch him and can see it with the naked eye. If you take away all the upside and potential of being better, we have been watching a really bad defenseman the last few years. And if the eye test says that, the stats say he is even worse.
We all know it. That's why everyone in Buffalo wants him gone (most everyone). I have a hard time believing GM's don't know it. Their players target him when he is on the ice to force bade turnovers. They have to all know he sucks. And even if a few are dumb enough to want him, they know the other twenty something GM's don't. So they aren't going to offer something good.
Like, in what world is the defenseman who leads the league in Minus, can't pass out of his own end, and has terrible possession numbers going to get you a 50 point forward? |

The more you dig into analytics, the more you realize how flawed they are, as a perception of the entire picture. You literally need 20 different charts to show you the true value of a player. - TheSabresTaco
That’s what i keep saying whenever someone brings up possession #s, or points/60, or any other of these very, very incomplete measurements |

He's a big, mean RHD who plays PP
Regardless of what you or I or anyone else may think of him, GMs will always value that
