I wonder if Bell and Tanenbaum would want to get involved.
Although I would imagine there could be synergies with owning it all under one umbrella.
Force corporations with Raptors and Leafs boxes to also purchase Skydome boxes.
On a related note, I can't believe we are taking about possibly scrapping the Skydome. - Atomic Wedgie
The one fantastic thing about Skydome is location, maybe the best in MLB. It'll be tough to beat. But 30 years is old now for a stadium.
Rogers won't get a dime of public funding though. They got the Skydone for a ridiculously cheap price. |

Wonder if that failed TV deal will affect the Jays payroll? I hope MLSE buys the Jays. Vladdy gotta eat. - RogerRoeper
Theres no failed tv deal. In fact sportsnet just brought in lots of money thanks to the rap games. |

It's almost too good though. A lot of people think it looks fishy and NHLPA can't be happy.
I question if because he was such a late round pick, did he get bad representation? - RogerRoeper
He'll sign an extension after January |

It's funny - there was sooooooo much opposition to putting it there in the beginning. Even Jane Jacobs said it was a mistake.
I remember going down to King Street West in the mid-1980s. It was derelict factories. Roy Thompson Hall had been built, but west of it was a gravel parking lot. The northwest corner of King and John was a car wash.
Skydome opened, and boooom!!!! - everything changed overnight. |

You cant move the jays out of the downtown core. The only other place they could go is Ontario place. Hit homers into the lake.. |

Perfect location. That's the sucky thing. They can't tear-it-down and build one there in 1 offseason.
That's why Vegas has succeeded in the NHL. Amazing location.

And they were starved for a sports team
Oh and they were giving a good team.
Results would be different if they were garbage |

Ontario Place would be just about the worst location in the world. It's so franking hard to get there.
Yeah, sure, maybe if the Ontario Line actually gets built.
But it would completely jam up Lakeshore and the QEW.
I franking hate going out there for Marlies games. |

Bring back Hanlan's Point Stadium.
Hell, if it was good enough for Babe Ruth to hit his first professional home run there, it should be good enough for MLB.
Just need to run the subway out there.
Trust me, this plan will work. |

You build a tunnel (car, train snd subway,) straight to the ball park along with a bridge.
It would be.

And one other random thought for the haterz:
- I don't want to sign Muzzin next year.
He'll be 31 - and expect a $7 million or more contract with plenty of term. Let other teams reward him for past performance. That one has "huge mistake in the making" written all over it. - Atomic Wedgie
I wonder if he just wants term and if Dubas would give him like 5 x 4 million or 5 x 5. I'd consider him on those types of deals. (I do think he might get more term or more dollars on the open market and then I say "see yeah") |

I’ve stayed in the hotel a couple times. Would be doing other things then come back have a drink and watch the jays game from the restaurant was pretty cool. That was when they were good though. |

The early season games can be high 30s F, rainy, with a really unpleasant breeze. I went to a game with all three of those one time in April and vowed to never do it again. It was absolutely miserable. It can be cold there during the playoffs, but then at least it's fall, not rainy and you're in the (frank)ing playoffs so what the hell |
