Both midgets.

Many had Dahlen in the lineup last year.

I hope they do actually embrace the roster turnover by continuing to inject youth each year.

He is either traded or buried i don’t see a 3rd option atm. He seems to have burnt his bridge.
- Nighthawk

Bury him

If he doesn't report, or is suspended, his cap hit and contract can be terminated

Good Luck Loui, you Loser

I expect more flow on PP1 with EP needing Hughes making Edler on the PP2. Too static last year & predictable.

That’s right. He has no leverage now that he burnt his bridge & UFA’s signed.

So many people have disliked "FerKland" and now he plays for Van.

But...but..the miserable haters told me that Benning still sucks at contracts. Myers got less than expected and now so did Ferland.

Stopgaps being replaced with quality players. Myers, Ferland and Miller

- Nucker101

You forgot.... suck it haters!

Roussel and Ferland make this a much tougher group to play against, looking forward to those two on a line when the going gets tough.

I called the ferlund dream, I think this is a HUGE win at 3.5M - great value signing by him. Very surprised and from age 27-32...nice move by Benning.

It makes me wonder if we needed the JTM trade, as ferlund was free....but adding both into the top 9 in 1 year, 26 and 27 years old...the rebuild is over...as the old ones leave, we have a young crop coming in...loving it!

Having both is even better. This way both Horvat and EP are guaranteed better linemates instead of having to decide who gets the upgrade.

I like JB’s off season so far. Not a fan at all of trading away a first round pick, but all in all he’s done a pretty good job.

Just have to take out some of the riff raff now.

Most of us assumed he would get at least 5x5 during silly season

He's making 2nd/3rd line tweener money by UFA standards.

Micheal Ferland (4x3.5m with Vancouver) is a bottom-six forward with a very good shot, an ok power-play impact, and a decent penalty differential.

Deal contains NMC in first 2 years then a Modified NTC in last 2 years. Also contains 2 million signing bonus

All Loui can do now is hope and pray for a Bad Contract/Bad Contract deal, but the Canucks have no need to do so

They view Loui as a sunk cost and can offset his horrible cap hit with the value they have throughout the rest of the roster (Petts, Horvat, Ferland, Hughes, etc)

Demote him, save 1 million in Cap and eat the other 5. It's 5 million on a team that's gong to have an ton of production with guys on ELC's or Value Contracts

He can ride the bus, or quit and move back to Sweden

I think it’s a really good contract for the canucks

Wonder what the NMC is year 3/4
