The Hawks will be a playoff team before the Canucks, Vancouver is still not a good team. Beyond Boeser, Pettersson and Horvat they don't have much up front. Plus, Boeser, Pettersson, and Markstrom are up for new contracts in the short term. Not to mention that their defense needs a serious upgrade.

Good points but they play in a very weak division . I could see them finishing third.
Hawks can improve but because the central is so tough they could still miss out.

That's not going to happen, AA is a cheap 3rd line center ... I mean he's only owed 2.5 in actual money...

Right now AA is probably pretty popular for teams up against the cap that need a 3c or depth at wing or center....

After watching this team for 35 years and knowing hockey in general, this team is pretty deep or at least has plenty of depth up from and on the back-end and now with Lehner & Crow.... Yea, this is a pretty deep team....

Rosters aren't frozen and Perlini could not be claimed just by beung signed.

The only time rosters are frozen is during the Christmas holiday break and the only way a player is claimed is if they waived him right after signing which they wouldn't do. Most teams don't even waive anyone until right before the season starts anyway.

I agree, but this is my guess for opening night. Dach will get a look at wing for 9 games. Plus, I personally don't mind AA as a 3C. He is good in the locker room, is not afraid to go into the corners or the front of the net and his cap hit for what he produces is fine.

Agree i also think keeping AA is not a bad idea creates more depth on the hawks. As far as Perlini he either signs or doesn't he his just a depth player not a key cog. If anything package him and AA For another asset preferably a young player with a high ceiling.
