Ristolainen will be moved. The only problem is the Sabres will not trade unless hey get big value. Don’t be surprised if there isn’t a big trade with multiple players.
Phil Housley was hated in the locker room. He has a lot of issues and should never ever be a head coach. - Buffalo39

That’s what little boys do, sit in a basement and make comments. You want to get mad at me, I have called 6 trades way before thy were announced. The royal blue jerseys and a lot of inside info, I know a lot of people on here are diehards and trying to get them any info. But he is a jealous little kid who can’t add any info to these conversations - Buffalo39

So Risto will be moved but don't expect a big trade with multiple players?
So a 1 for 1 trade?
Any idea of a time frame? |

Right now ,ristolainen Value isn’t as high as the Sabres want it to be. They definetly want to move him before the season. Worse case scenario, wait u til season starts and when teams become desperate, then they get what they want. I believe there will be a big trade with or without ristolainen. Not necessarily huge names but multiple players. They want and need a second line centermen |

Makes sense
They absolutely have to move a few bodies out especially if guys like Olofsson and Joker are going to be in Buffalo at the start of the season |

It would make things more fun, but I don't see how it would work in a hard salary cap system. I think you would need to change to a soft cap/luxury tax system, which I don't necessarily oppose. Be prepared for the whining when teams like Toronto and the Rangers use it to their full advantage, though. |

I don't see how they can do that with a hard cap
I also don't want to be like the NBA because Toronto Montreal and the Rangers would have way more leverage |

The trade-off that the NHL players have is that their contracts are fully guaranteed. The question is whether or not that is costing them higher salaries, which are the lowest of the four major sports by a mile.
It would also be interesting to see, if the next CBA were to implement this, what the current marquee players would do, because they would all of a sudden be massively underpaid. The 2013 CBA had compliance buyouts. You would almost need "compliance raises" to make it fair. |

Keep current structure the same, current status the same,
if a player opts out introduce and Exclusive RFA signing penalty where you have to give picks (2 firsts) to sign player that opted out if signed in one calendar year.
If club opts out player immediately becomes UFA.
Can only opt if 2 years or less on contract. |

That's why I'm confident we won't be finishing in the bottom 3 next year. Krugs will be highly motivated to avoid relegation to the AHL. |
