I've been a hockey fan for 35 seasons now, and I can tell you I have seen many careers turned around via a simple trade...

I'm not an NHL scout but perhaps the team that took Saad and DeBrincat in the 2nd round (or all the Hawks past steals via trade including Strome) know exactly what they're doing???

It will take some time to figure this trade out, the more I look into this trade it appears Joker is eligible for the expansion draft, Nylader is not so funny if you lose him? then the joke is on you no pun intended of course, lol...

Seriously tho, the Hawks are stacked on the blue line and they have 4-5 guys that perhaps have top 4 potential..... If you're going to lose one, maybe trade him now before the trade market gets insane to dump players for expansion reasons - get ahead of the curb???

You realize Jokiharju is probably the 2nd best Dman in our system now? Only behind Dahlin. I dont care if Nylander develops into a 65 to 70 point player (which he has a very low probability of doing) I would make this trade everyday.
