Just saw Ferland has a NMC for this year and next year. I don’t think he could have gotten a NMC from the Pens. I’d definitely prefer him over Tanev at that contract |

Where did you see that ? That seems like a really Benning type move to make. |

From puck pedia:
“The Ferland 4 yr $3.5M Cap Hit with #Canucks breakdown:
Year 1: $2.5M Salary $2M Signing Bonus - No Movement Clause (NMC)
Year 2: $3M Salary- NMC
Year 3: $3.75M Salary - Modified No-Trade
Year 4: $2.75M Salary - Modified No-Trade
puckpedia.com/player/michael…
Because the clause becomes a No Trade in year 3, #Canucks can expose Ferland to Seattle in expansion draft (but he can't be traded).” |

The NMC should be in effect until July 1, the start of the new league year - The Expansion draft is sometime in June

"No Movement Clauses
Players with a “No Movement” clause that is currently in effect, and continues to be in effect at the time of the Expansion Draft, must be protected by their respective team, unless such players choose to waive their NMC, at which point the team is free to expose them."
EDIT: It should count, Ferland has agreed to waive it for purposes of the Seattle Expansion Draft |

I got drunk with Bugsy Malone a few times. He’s (frank)ing funny. A bunch of the Lightning players too since my buddies work in the locker room. - j.boyd919
Haha I remember when we ran into him and stamkos and bugsy bought a round of shots and I gave stammer poop for being out when he was recovering from his knee injury. |

I’d rather have Tanev honestly. I think Tanev is gonna be better and the window will be barred shut by the time his contract is an actual problem because let’s not kid ourselves: Rutherford will have no interest in moving Tanev while he’s still playing well, so the unmoveability of his contract is not consequential |

Agree.
I think may Ferland may have been be a good add if we had traded Hornqvist. But as the roster currently stands, I'd rather have Tanev. |

You know everybody dude, your luck - kfinl170
I was extremely lucky to land the position that I got. The timing was great. We work with almost 200 pro athletes and I get to work with all the hockey guys. I just signed my first AHL client a couple weeks ago - I want to really start targeting the young AHLers who are higher draft picks. I actually meet PO Joseph a couple weeks ago, dude is pencil thin. Once you meet one of these guys they’re pretty good about introducing you to others.
Like I was sitting down with Hordichuk one day and Corey Hirsch comes over and says “Hey sorry to interrupt, Darcy I gotta run but it was good seeing you.” And me being from the Vancouver area was just like 🥺 for a split second haha. A lot of the guys retire here or end up buying vacation homes here |

He has a decent shot. I think he could’ve potentially been a 40, MAYBE 50 point guy in our top 6 but it’s tough to tell. I skated with him in Swan River wayyyy back when before he went to Brandon. Dude has a ripper of a slapshot. I then went east and his cousin became my winger. Ferland’s cousin was such a pothead. So funny he’d always say stuff like “Hey how’s it goin actually I don’t give a f*ck” 😂 |

Glad Cullen chose the retirement route. Great role player for the Pens on those cup teams. He was fading in that 2nd year, but I'll never forget game 6 of the Preds series. Damn near our best player in that game. |

Ah ok. What I posted was a direct quote from that Puck Pedia twitter page. But if he’s going to waive it for the expansion, then it doesn’t matter I guess |

Gudbranson and Pettersson pairing is the number 2 pairing and it’s not “fine”. It’s a good pairing and Gudbranson is not over paid. So basically just vomited garbage all over a computer screen when all you had to say was Jack Johnson is bad. Jason Botterill 2020! |

They got him for third line money, which isn't bad. I'm not a huge fan, but thought Ferland would get more. Makes me wonder if Gardiner or Dzingel will come at a good salary. - Tojo.
I think Dzingel will sign in the 3-4 range (probably more towards 3). Gardiner I have a strange feeling he signs for 5-6 mil due to injury concerns. If they do sign for 3 and say 6. I hope JR is still in negotiations, because I would love to bring in Gardiner or Dzingel. Even if it means shopping more players. I do think Gardiner for our second pairing would be amazing. It would be an instant boost to us defensively. Also Dzingel is good enough to score and join our top 6 with ease. |

I love how everyone’s jumping on the O Reilly band wagon. Because you all just knew he had the playoff mvp in him while he was scoring no goals in Buffalo. |

I feel we could've gotten Tanev @ around $2.5M IF we were the Jets...but we are not and he was an UFA. You need to pay to get the guys you want with a specific skill.
Tanev will bring speed and tenacity, things we were lacking. Culture change and GET BACK TO OUR GAME. |

He’s not a giant vagina like the rest of the middle six group. Give him 8 years. Doesn’t matter. |

Lowry would be cool but Blueger seems to be a pretty straight forward guy and won't shy away from contact. He's been through a lot in the AHL. |

Very meh article... and it even notes the importance of Lowry for Tanev. - Guile
lol At least it showed Tanev put up better numbers 5 on 5 and in the last 40 games or so even playing 4th line minutes and getting no PP time.
He'll be a valuable guy to have on our roster construction. |
