Correct me if I'm wrong, like i even have to ask, but if we waive Dahlstrom or 4k and a team claims him off waivers, the player has to remain on the roster for the rest of the season? - BetweenTheDots
Waiver Claims Can’t Be Traded (Sort of)
This is a protection against using the waiver wire as a “claim-and-flip” wire to sweeten trade deals. If a club claims a player and they get him, he is not allowed to be traded until the end of the playoffs of that season… but there is one catch.
Article 13.2 B says if a player is claimed by multiple teams, that player can be offered in a trade to those teams on the same terms as waivers. If said offers are refused, then the team can trade the player to any other team in the league. |

Yes crowded, but still ass backwards. I believe it's crowded on the left side, #7 long in the tooth, Murphy over rated, Gus great 4th forward on the ice, it really isn't that crowded on the right side, Mitchell play L or RD - BetweenTheDots
Not sure ass backwards is the right way to put it but the return for Joki is very questionable....
We obviously don't know the full context behind the trade but is sure feels like a bit of a knee jerk reaction with not a ton of thought behind it.
Unfortunately, Stan painted himself into a corner cap wise and D prospect wise b/c of that Seabs contract. Seabs isn't going anywhere which means he takes the space of a younger and likely better D man. |

Tanner cab definitely be silly but in regards to the totes I think he has the right idea. Disregard his insane opinion of Keith's contract. If Arizona were to be able to acquire a legit star I think they would be a good team. I also have a soft spot for them because I love watching OEL play. I think he's been super underrated in this league since he plays for ARI |

Tanner is playing with Hawk fans like an Atlantic salmon going for the fly on the Humber River in Western Newfoundland. and it's great for his ratings in a dry Arizona summer

So why doesn't Tanner say they should go after local product Matthews? Gets Toronto out of Cap Hell, and look at Toronto's poop of defenseman, they ain't winning anything with that group. I think he is using his blog to Troll this one.

Stan drafts smallish puck moving Dmen and trades for slow non puck
moving Dmen......
Then he trades the two guys who can move the puck up from the Dzone
Gus get's most of his lay in Ozone starts......none of it makes sense
The Hawks Dmen will be lucky to score 35 goals this year.
Seabs/Keith first pairing out on the top PK....oh wait last PK by
a mile in league.
The defense as is doesn't impress. - gazza53 You maybe right, I'm not sold

Because Hawks fans are so active on this site lol. Look at all those clicks Ogi gave him, ignoring his own flow chart.

Tanner is a leaves fan and a Coyote blogger. And he makes fun of the Hawks? Two teams with zero cups in a combined 75 years. |

I didn’t ignore my own flow chart. I never once responded to Tanner. I only posted the chart in response to those who did. |

I saw that, Ogi only said it to the hawks fans here that responded to him.

He’s also a dolt.
His reading comprehension, logic, and reasoning skills indicate, that regardless of his actual age, he’s operating on the intellectual level of a prepubescent tween.

It was interesting to see Saad play with a little more confidence under Colliton.
Sure, he had some games he dissapeared but I think he could have a solid year.
I found Colliton unleashed his speed a bit on that 3rd line.
Saad looked like a (much) more talented Stalberg.
I noticed Saad flipping pucks through the neutral zone and beating defenders.
That's why I think he is best suited for the 3rd line because he's kind of a one man show in transition. Plus he plays solid defence.
Time will tell but I think he and Shaw on the 3rd line could be a challenging line for other bottom 6s to handle. - Tyler Cameron

Yes, he definitely shined on the 3rd. Maybe he likes being out from under the Kane/Toews shadow and enjoys being "the guy" on his own line. Should build around him there. |

It reminds me of the TT situation, sure he was the sweetner to trade Bickell but they soured on him fast.
3 or 4 years i see Joki being a very solid dman in the NHL and i guess management probably has issues with players who are opinionated. - BetweenTheDots
Seems the issue wih TT at the time was they didn't think he was putting in the work during the off-season. That definitely isn't the case these days.
With Joki? I am still not sure what the issues are in this case. Guess all we hope for is Nylander takes this as a kick in the ass and plays up to his talent level. The talent is there. Its the intangible stuff that is his biggest criticisms. |

Maybe not so much being out of their shadow. I think he just relished the responsibility of driving his own line. Or he just responds better to the way JC delivers the message to him. |

I think a line with Saad and Shaw and whomever is the Center is a great 3rd line. Saad was pretty good with Kane in the 2015 playoffs. |

Yeah, he was, however, I don't think he looked good with either Toews or Kane after he returned to Chicago. Like relationships - people either grow together or grow apart. |
