Well, Botts has addressed the middle six with what should be decent contributors in Vesey and Johansson. If he can add another at 2C or RW that should be a huge upgrade. Couple that with the 3 new puck movers on the back end since the TDL and they should be better (hard to be worse).

Defense depth & pipeline has gone from basically nothing under GMTM to looking very respectable
Especially with guys like Samuelsson & Laaksonen still coming, etc

Our Center group should be among the best in the league in a few years

Eichel- franchise guy
Mitts- projected 1C playing 2C, that’s nice
Cozens- a 2way 1C/2C as our 3, that’s great
Asplund- 2way 3C playing 4C, also really nice

And that doesn’t include:
Davidsson- 3C caliber, maybe better
Routsalainen- wild card, probably end up as a winger though
Pekar- physical 2 way guy that could slot into the wing in the middle6 or Center in bottom6

For once though since Botterill is actually adding decent depth pieces they might play proper minutes

I fully expect us to add another forward which would strictly put them in 4th line roles where they actually are pretty decent.
