I don't think so either. I was just looking at the flames for things they might want vs. things we might want. Toughness was a stated priority that Lazar may or may not address depending on his roster status. Jankowski adds a center option - jcragcrumple
Wouldn’t make much sense for the flames to trade a goalie they just got |

Lazar is gonna surprise some people IMO this fall - homiedclown
Based on what?
Lazar has been a huge bust of an NHL player
Had 20goals in 57games in the AHL
Elie, who u hate, scored at a pace of over 18goals in 57games in the AHL last year
Is there something other than Lazar being a former 1st rounder that u particularly like?
I don’t get it |

Lockport Man vs. Florida Man.
Who ya got? - jcragcrumple
It depends, if it's a North Florida man, aka south Georgia or south Alabama man, (edit; or a Tampa Bay fan, lololol, fuvk the lightning) then the smart money is on the FL man. But, If you're talking South FL man, aka an ex Yankee, then the smart money is on the Lockport freak.

No. 5 is Dylan Cozens, a big, strong and powerful 6-foot-3, 181-pound centre who plays for the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Cozens is a unique story, born in Whitehorse in Yukon Territory. Cozens has 25 goals and 58 points in 45 games this season. He’s the opposite of Dach in many respects. Cozens is a shoot-first centre with a tremendous shot. He is a fast and powerful skater who plays a bullish power game.
Seven of 10 scouts had Cozens in their Top 5.
And they had the “Russian “ ranked what ?
there is that for cozbust - homiedclown

“Cozens has all of the skills you want to see in a top line center. He skates very well, he can make plays from the half wall, has a great release and drives the net very well. He can play as a net front presence and does not shy away from the home plate area in the offensive zone. He excels in the rush game and as a dual threat as a shooter and passer which makes him lethal.” – Vince Gibbons, McKeen’s Hockey

Strengths
Excellent at using his size and speed on the offensive side of the puck.
Great shot, accurate with a quick release.
Strong hockey sense, knows where to be at all times (especially in offensive zone)
Under Construction (Improvements to Make)
Needs to round out his game with a bit more attention to detail on the defensive side of the game.
Needs to be more effective at winning face-offs.

"DISAGREE!" - says Hockeybuzz poster
@Gerbe, you say, more than once, that Cozens has a hockey IQ deficiency, but the scouting report says that is actually one of his strengths....did you misread something somewhere? Or were there conflicting assessments? Are you simply that bent over Buffalo passing on the little sniper that you must bash Cozens? Your take seems off, and skewed by your personal preference. |

Someone on WGR mentioned that he has skill but never had the opportunity to play with an elite center. Kind of alluding to the idea that he may surprise in training camp if he gets some shifts with Jack. All speculation, obviously. But that would be a nice surprise for someone who has been written off as an AHLer. - seedy
Makes zero sense when he’s a center never played with a elite center lol he was supposed to be a future Mike Fisher.

He’s bounced around colleges coast to coast on daddy’s dime; reading comprehension isn’t his strong suit.
He was once a padawan in training......

Nope, that's not how that works.
He's a "personality" not a scout, he uses real scouts' work. He only writes about the draft at the draft, and halfway through the year when scouts' midseason rankings come out. That's not a scout.

Finally got a chance to watch the latest ROR interview. He mentioned that guys on his new team were “unselfish” and things finally clicked.
Got to be a jab at Jack ? Has this been discussed here ? |

He also said Nylander was going to be something other than a compete lazyass… we all saw how that turned out. NOT to mention how wrong he was about Sam as well. |
