I, too, hate when we sign elite players for below market value

What's his story? Second time today you've brought him up. Seems like tweener solely based on stats, but I know that's not the full picture for bottom half players.

Kind of a swiss army knife guy. He's got better hands than people want to give him credit for. If he can gain some confidence at the NHL level he's capable of 15+ goals. Beyond that, he can be pretty physical. Good wheels. Not a big guy but he hits like a wrecking ball.

Basically a perfect 4th line player with the ability to do more if he can get it together.

Honestly, I think Mckegg is a better former Hurricane we got. He really played well in the playoffs.

As bad as Neal was last year, that would be a horrible trade for the Flames if they did it. Not even like they are getting any cap relief out of it or less term.

Yes, no one could ever use an 80 point player that cost nothing but money

Yeah, but what's the endgame? I mean in the Oilers sense, maybe they think Neal's bad year was an abberation, and he can't possibly do worse than Lucic in theory. There's zilch in it for Calgary. I don't think Lucic is a change of scenery type guy.
