Kurashev (54 Red) looks damn good. |

Except there is no Hossa on the other wing. - LAHawk
If its like last year Toews is playing offense only and Sharp Toews Kane was a thing back in the day. |

Dach with the back-check! Kurashev and Mitchell look good too. |

Are we talking about Sharp in his last year or so with the Hawks? B/c he was much more than that for most of the time he was playing for the Hawks. - bhawks2241
He wasn't except for 2010 when he played 2C and in 07 or 08 maybe when he dropped a buncha shorties.

The fan boards wouldn’t have signed Kunitz, Manning and Ward as the big 2018 pickups, either. No “inside info” needed, we knew it was bad when it happened. - Quetzalcoatl
Stan couldn't wait to put that on Q. Wonder what the real story was?

Maybe Kurashev, Entwistle, Nylander, Boqvist amd Beaudin get cups of coffee this season, but I think some are more likely to make the team next year. Dach is a given for next year if not this season. Then there will be Mitchell and lesser lights like Carlsson, Saarela, Hagel and Johnson knocking on the door in 20/21 too.
Would Stan and Colliton accept 5 or 6 rookies on the roster in 20/21? Then the next question is who do they replace? Next summer is shaping up as interesting as this summer. - boilermaker100
If Dach plays Juniors this year, probably begin next year in AHL. Hawk conundrum, how much will he progress playing Juniors again?

Probably not much more for him to learn in Jr. |

It's obvious. Stan was ordered to sign them by The Meddler, aka McD. |

Has there been much contact in the scrimmage? Just wondering if any of these punks sniff lavender. |

Even if it was all Stan (or not), the important thing is that it seems like he was quick to change strategies and learn from it. I think most of us like the approach this off season better than last. I'd be more concerned if Stan's approach this off season was the same as last year after those guys just didn't pan out well enough. |

For someone being billed as a sniper, at least that's what i thought i heard, Nylander offensively was a bit disappointing.

A bit early to declare keepers and bums, no? I get the optimism based on the skill displayed, but let's all take a breath. This was a scrimmage... against prospects. Let's at least wait until actual training camp/pre-season to see how they play against some real players. |

I was just messing around. I'm a Stan guy - except on the AA deal, unless a real 3C shows up. I think last year was a retool year, and the vets were there to keep kids from playing too early. |

I agree and honestly im impressed with their realization they needed to rebuild the farm system and how well they've done it in less than 3 years, it helps they got the 3rd pick in the draft but none the less they've done a nice job.

No problem, I think it’s just one piece of the puzzle as to why they decided to move on from Jokiharju.
One of the lessons Juha passes onto Henri and the other players is about not worrying so much about getting bigger but focusing more on mobility and their vision on the ice.
“I don’t see the game the way in you have to be bigger, bigger and bigger,” Juha said. “The way you move and read the play is the key thing. There’s more players in the NHL who are not heavy and make great results. There’s never been a point to be bigger. You have to react faster. That’s the key thing that can make a difference.” |

You’ve been here long enough to know all our prospects are future nhlers until we trade them!!!!!! Then and only then can we speak of any short comings in there game. |

Actually I’m with Z3 on this one, Jokiharju wanted to train with his dad and his aerobics instructor. I kinda got the idea he wanted to do things his way. - walleyeb1
hearsay is ok? maybe after being demoted for being their best
Dman maybe a 19 year old Joker saw the handwriting.....
But it's ok we got a 21year old entitled guy who needs to be
motivated instead. |

A team that just traded a prospect after pumping him up for a couple years has plenty of incentive to leak negative info to 'splain the trade. - mohel
Hawks do this quite extensively
