Sure, let him go. So far the roster surgery has mostly been adding players. It’s time for some surgical removal. |

Yeah. Sabres are not obligated to accept the arbitrators decision. |

He isnt worth 2.65. After having 25 points in 38 games during the 17/18 season, I had hopes for him to make the next jump. He clearly didnt. |

I don’t see a problem with 2.5 or so on a 2 year deal.
I have an issue signing him long term when he has no defined role or position |

Honestly, I would rather give someone from roch a shot than 2.5 to erod. If something else doesnt drop, it makes it a lot harder for someone like Asplund come up.
The longer Gardiner is on the market, the more I am getting the feeling he will be a sabre. 2.5 Erod makes it a little harder for that move too. |

For the most part, the are. If the decision is over 4.5m (hard to find the exact number each year), they can walk away. If it's over 3.4m, they can buy it out. Anything less, and they have to accept it.

Pretty sure they can walk away, didn't the same happen with Tim Kennedy?
Ok never mind you're right they can't walk away. They can waive him and if he's unclaimed they then have to buy him out. |

2 years takes him to UFA. Not that it's a big deal, but I think you either go 1 or 3 years. I think it would be hard for him to turn down 3 years @ 2m per.

No. Tim was bought out. We walked away from JP. The required numbers to do so have increased a lot since then. |
