So we don’t bat and eye on signing girgs and Larsson but ERod has to go to arbitration? Was he asking for too much?

Well my day was ruined when I was reminded of JP Dumont walking because we didn't want him anymore.

One of my favorite Sabres ever.

Oh wow, just realized they are all Goat-Head players. Go figure. And I prefer the original uniforms, hated the slugs, hate our current uniforms. I'm indifferent to the red/black. Obviously I grew up during the red/black years.

I know it's been mentioned before, they did a study in the 90's and teams that had black or darker colors in their uniforms won more across most sports. Swear to god, some dumb crap like that.

The Buffalo Sabres also plagiarized the colors and logo of the Flint, MI Sabres, a minor league team from the 1980's, when they switched to red/black. Not the Goat-head, that stylized "Buffalo" script they used on everything was the primary logo for the flint team.

Also, copying the colors of the Chicago Bulls, the last "true" dynasty in sports (imo), was a no-brainer.

I would love it if we used the royal blue going forward and a black goat-head as the 3rd, even though I prefer the black shoulder yokes on the white uniform.

Everything that's wrong with this organization is written within these 2 questions.

I loved JP, he was a perfect 3rd line, lead by example defensive forward who could score 20 a year and 1/3 of them came short-handed. He was the man.

Seriously, E-Rod is Larsson and Girgensons combined and we could have just paid this man and let those two bums walk but something assets something something for nothing something something.

That’s the part I don’t get? ERod for 1.5 I’d be fine with but all three? Our fourth line was not exactly a smashing success last year. Why not let them walk

Why they let him go I will never know. They made so many stupid decisions those few years that pretty much bout us where we are now.

JP said he didn't like being treated as an after thought to Briere and Drury so he walked

I met JP at a Road Crew party. Incredibly nice, humble, and funny. Makes it even better that he was a kickass, clutch player.

You do realize that 3rd line winger either led Nashville in points or finished second his 1st 3 yrs there.

He was a top line winger IMO.

To bad Darcy wanted Kotalik, Max, and Connolly over JP.

Sabres walked away from the arb decision because they were cap strapped. Partly do to the Briere award from arb and because Darcy signed Max, Kotalik, and Connolly to 3 yr deals all in the 3 mil+ per range.

Which is too bad.. at the end of the day JP ended with the best career of them all. Connolly had more talent to be the best player but he ended up not being.

Their cap numbers went up 40% from 05/06 to 06/07.

The avg player salary on the team nearly doubled from $989,720 to $1,875,000.
