Risto and Nelson for Tuch and Reaves. Gives Vegas a much needed dman and space to sign Gusev. If they add Mcnabb we'll add Girgs so they can save an additional $1m. Throw in a couple 3rds.

Vegas must be asking a lot for Gusev or I'd expect him to be moved already. Maybe they are in on Gardiner and waiting for that to drop tho.

I wish they would do something like Sobotka + Scandella + 2nd for Gusev + 4th ... or some such silliness. That would help us in a couple ways.

Vegas still needs to shed cap space. No way they take those players / contracts.

He's not scoring 56 goals unless he's shooting at 25%

He'd probably get around 40

Laine is a pure sniper .... he doesn’t have great speed or passing.

You don't think we could swindle them into a Hundwick + 3rd for Gusev's rights? I think thats beyond fair honestly.

You have to add a 2nd

He’s a local kid, and he’s big. There is potential there.

Plus he fills a position of need, has improved every season, and at 23 y/o on a seven year contract at $4.75m could be the best deal in the league in a few seasons.

Except Kaleta wasn't big and had no potential, even though he was drafted from the OHL.

Interesting Michael ...what's not to like?
Young power forward on right who put up 85 pts in 1st 2 years of playing, with very nice growth from year 1 to year 2.

Wouldn't we love it if Cozens or Mitts has this success through year 2?
I think we would all be estatic.

In four years when Mac is making $12m Tuch will still be ar $4.75m for three more years.

And he does have a couple of years playing with Eichel in the USDP.

That's superficial stuff. I'm more concerned with what the long-term core of this team looks like.

Laine thrives on the PP in Eichel's spot. The cap space is a big issue. Does it really make sense to pay Skinner + Laine (one dimensional wingers) 19m? Can you win like that? Does in force Sam out?

- Lunaion

Get good players who can score, worry about power play later.

Yes. Sabres have 48 mil in space next year and like 70 the year after.

That’s without a cap increase.

Who cares who’s in who’s “spot”
You can put them on the same power play and rotate them so teams don’t key in on one guy.

Ok well then in 4 years from now with the way contracts are going I’d argue Eichel’s might be the best one in hockey then.
