I heard that Rantanen's group called Bergy and asked for 14 million per over 4 years.
Then they called him and asked if his refrigerator is running. - Aetherial

Who was that guy who said Holland can't make trades post cap era??? Solidified the bottom six and just added a guy who on a decent center team( not great one as edmonton has) can score at least 20...mcdavid factor is likely 35... |

You just asked why Calgary would make this trade then contradict yourself...lol Neal can score...lucic can't even skate anymore...four more years and he only gets worse...at least he never missed games...we were stuck with lucic...everyone knows it...well except Calgary hahahaha |

Nope. He said "The farce is now with you" to both the Oilers and Flames.

Someone on the Leafs thread said Neal was an easier buyout and did not have to be protected in expansion draft... |

Well I most certainly am. Though my reasons have everything to do with Nealโs contract, not his possible production. |

But oil90 thinks Neal is going to go from scoring 7 goals to 35. No wonder you're happy! ๐ |

Yeah seems like a pretty big win for Edmonton. Better than Loui Erikson |

Correct.
Buying out Neal would cost the Oil just shy of 2 mill per over 8 years.
Buying out Lucic would cost... well itโs (frank)ing near unspeakable.
And then there is the Seattle possibility. |

So the value is in the buyout and Expansion draft? 35 goal scorers don't grow on trees you know. ๐ |

This is a win\win for both teams. Both struggled with their respective teams and the cap difference is 350k. Both are good players should benefit from this deal |

Reminds me of Roeper. Roeper is funnier though. |
