If Weber decides to retire a few years down the road then Nashville will be on the
hook for the cap recapture penalty. - gramps
This is the key that fans who want to trade Weber forget. Habs need to make Nashville sings over this. |

I think Montreal will be on the hook for a minimal amount but Nashville gets burned.

I personally think they should try to limit a guy like Weber to around 75 games even if completely healthy.
When you have back to back games and he logs a big night why even dress him the 2nd night........especially if it's 3 in 4.
I know he's one of the better players on the ice but he'll be even better in those other games IMO. |

That's just a publicized version Pie.
It's just common sense that you recover more quickly while you're still young. |

The guy always goes down with a huge injury.
I would not worry about him playing in 82 games. |

Weber is a 2nd pair d man at this stage. He's still within the range salary wise for 2nd pair. - kaptaan
I'll qualify what I said. If Weber has a solid partner like Ryan Suter then he'll elevate his game. It's hard to carry the other guy asked that makes him 2 nd pair depending on who he's paired with.
If he has a legit top liner or close to it, then he can do all the things he's good at without worrying about that other guy too. |

I think it's biological processes that make you recover faster when younger... Unless you can trick the body somehow, to produce the same chemicals in the same quantities, etc etc
Common sense doesn't impact on injury recovery.
