That's cool, and any non Leafs fan wouldn't trade Jones for Marner ++. So really, it's not a bias. ( i mean they work both ways )

Defensemen play higher minutes because it’s easier. And calling Jones a future Norris winner is probably way off. He’s not good enough. If he played for us you wouldn’t even like him.

None of those guys are Seth Jones. Jones puts up those numbers on top of being a top flight shutdown Dman.

Jones is closer to Pronger than he is to the guys you listed. He just plays in a small market and goes largely unnoticed.

The value isn't even close. He's good, but the positional value alone is insane.

I wouldn’t even entertain moving Matthews for Jones to be honest. Jones is a beast though no doubt, more of my confidence in Matthews being a top 5 player in the league for the next 5-10 years.

If Jones gets in on the Norris wether that’s winning or being very close the next three years I’m not sure how it isn’t higher then Karlsson at 11.5, so yeah probably higher then Matthews. The thing around here is to worry about the cap 3 4 5 years down the road. I mean, Matthews is already starting to look at places in Arizona for when his deal is done too.
