I don't think I've seen Gardiner legit linked anywhere. It's weird.

Only thing I saw from a Fansided leafs article is that they think either Gardiner is waiting to see what happens with Marner. If he gets traded or something then the leafs would resign him. OR teams are worried about his back injury and he’s not getting the salary and/or term he wants. Again, this was just an opinion of a leafs blogger

Barrie is good.... Where is Reilly tho Seriously this guy is the most under rated in the league. 20 goals 70 pts and he is a beast defensively even if Toronto isnt. Played the whole year with Ron freaking Hainsey. Even Ceci is an upgrade let alone if he plays with Barrie next year. Next year maybe the league will wake up to how good he is.

If Pens sign Gardiner. Maybe JR pulls a 1-1 deal and trades Schultz for a cheap younger RHD. Then moves JJ and/or Rust

If the Pens got Gardiner at 5M, he should fire his agent

Maybe, I'm not sure what Gardiner gets now. Hard to believe he's getting the same money as Hayes like everyone speculated or even the Meyers deal or else it would be done by now.

I just don't see him taking less than $6M.

I'd have said that as well before, but I guess these back concerns are scaring teams off. I figure if he got offers at 6, he'd have signed by now.

Might have to be a 1-year prove it deal with his back issues.

Possibly. I think that, as of July 1st, he probably had some offers that were just South of $7M and his agent advised him to hold out for better offers, and they just never came. So I guess you could see him on a lower cost, short-term deal.

It's not like he missed a lot of games before this year. I really don't understand the back issues, so I have no idea what ends up happening.

I don't really know how it will play out, I just know when guy stay on the market for a while, the price is usually lower than expected.

Almost always, yeah. He could end up being a major steal of a deal for a team.

Gardiner in JJ out and this really is a great looking pens roster.

You do not strike me as a man who would be high on Gardiner.

Now with Peterson’s emergence as a somewhat tough hockey player and Gudbranson’s direly needed addition to the team our D Corp would have good balance. I aid it before our forwards are better than they’ve been in years.

Did Gardiner have surgery on his back or is it something he just rehabbed?
