While I do not own a crystal ball, just thinking:

IF RK is an improvement over PH (guaranteed), I would expect coaching could amount to an additional 3 - 5 wins. +6 - 10 pts;
Upgraded defense, +2 - 4; 4 - 8 points;
Better scheme (?) and another year under JE and RD's belt - +2 - 4 pts;

I know the 33 regulation wins is not guaranteed but, I think it is the floor. Yep, absolutely aggressive: +14 - 22 points on their 76 points last year.

I will wait and see how this plays out. Meaningful post January 1 games would be excellent.

Those other guys are projected as 3 or 4 C's.
The current need is 2C, a 1or2 RW, and actually a 3RW.

Aren’t you busy trading Eichel, Dahlin and Skinner for guys you can draw penalties well so they can score 1.2 more goals per year.

The question is whether it's fair to expect them to be good this year. I say yes. I think it should be mandatory in year 3. Feel free to disagree

I wouldn't be against Laine. I'm just leery of the:
A) Cost it would take to get him out of WPG
B) Cost it would take to get him to sign a long term deal in BUF (Because if you're going to give up those kinda assets, he better sign long term)

with some of his deficiencies, I feel these are fair things to consider.
