I think the goaltending will get better.

They were historically bad the last half of the season

- sbroads24

I didn't see much of a reason to think it will be any better than average. They are also extremely unlikely to get 82 starts between the 2.

Yeah I’m not concerned with how many LW we have because only one is better than Ehlers.

If that’s the best deal for Risto I take it

- sbroads24

Exactly
And I’d go after Gusev too

MoJo isn’t here long term

Who knows if we re-sign Vesey?
And should we even want to?

Olofsson is unproven
While I’d like to think he could be a good top9 player for us, I’m not gonna let that stop me from getting a guy i KNOW is a good top9 guy

I think people are just way too certain Mittelstadt won’t get a lot better and I don’t get why. It was his first pro season.

I think he’s in line for 20+ and some better production in terms of driving play. Especially if Reinhart stays with him

Both goalies will be around 2.50 GAA and as long as we score enough, we should be able to squeak into the playoffs and at least get some experience, at the very least, make a run for it at the end of the year and learn how to play "playoff hockey" down the stretch.

Have modest expectations for Olofsson, he may very well be another Kotalik. Mojo for sure is going to be a Connolley 2.0, including injuries. Mitts should get to 20/20 but he will start slow and fans will want to hang him. Reinhart will start slow like he always does, but he will turn it on a little sooner than usual, before the new year, after Thanksgiving. Okposo will get 15-25 goals and 45 points. In 70 games. Thompson will be in Rochester before the New Year. Rodriguez will get 15/15 and be a mini-Michael Peca. Skinner is still good for 40. Sobotka will be a beast on the PK, will anchor the 3rd line, will score 30+ points under Kreuger. (frank) those slobs Larsson and Girgensons and they will both clear waivers after the New Year and be the new Matt Ellis and Adam Mair, Rochester lifers if they want a career.

Eichel will go down early with an injury and miss about 10-20 games and that's when we find out what team this really is.

Kreuger will be a Ted Nolan who knows what the hell he is doing and bring out the best in all of them.

Except Larsson and Girgensons, they are trash.

All hail the savior Freddy, our one true hero, Kreuger. And his brother, Ralph.

Don't even think about getting off on the Elm St. exit. You may never return.

Way too many wild overreactions here

Last summer,
I warned that Mitts might not be a stud right away
Got blasted for it
But now, it’s like everyone has forgotten he was one of the top5 talents not in the NHL last year
He’s most likely gonna still be VERY good
And most likely, sooner than later

Ppl are all worried about Center bc of last year

We are absolutely STACKED at Center moving forward

Eichel- franchise center
Mitts- projected to be a good 1C
Cozens- projected to be a 1C / really good 2C

That grouping is just fantastic imo

Then we’ve got Asplund, Routsalainen, Davidsson & Pekar
If any of them develop into a legit 3C,
then it frees us up to even move Cozens to RW

It’s no secret how critical i was on Botts for a certain horrible trade
And he’s definitely brought in some scrubs we’d all like gone

But he is building this team down the middle & on defense
And that’s the way he should do it

We are gonna be a really good team,
for a really long time

I warned last year that ppl were expecting too much too soon from Mitts

But now it’s like they think he’s gonna suck for the next 2-3years

The kid is crazy talented
I don’t think it’s gonna take long to remind the haters just how good he can be

Housley did him 0 favors. Reinhart should’ve been with him from day 1.

But he got boned.

He’s gonna improve

A completely rational thought that somehow eludes a lot of ppl here

Quick... better trade for Turris!!! 😂😂😂

By the end of this season...
Mitts > Turris...
AND most of the other “2C” that ppl wanted here

Actually... there were ppl here that wanted him
And quite a few on Cap Friendly as well
And I even remember a post from you in reply to someone on Cap Friendly about Turris,
so you know that

So i do “have it right” that there’s Sabres fans that wanted to bring him here

Also...
Turris was just one of MANY bad ideas I’ve seen

So Connolly #2.0? What’s he gonna do, pick up drunk chicks on the chip strip and give them the old Cleveland steamer?

Idc if you brought his name up first or not
It’s irrelevant
There were ppl who thought it was a good idea
That’s my point

And there are Sabre’s fans that aren’t on the Buzz

Both, if Botterill was going to take on whole contracts he wanted a " bonus". We didn't need PK IMO. We need a 2nd line center, not a wing but a center. Then look into another wing.

Of course he is.

He wanted us to trade for Trouba when everyone and their mother pointed out actual quotes of him saying he wanted to sign where it helped his wife

- sbroads24

Ok, sure, but depending on her specialty Buffalo has top notch hospitals. Kenmore mercy is top 10 in the country in knee replacements. Roswell is 30th in cancer treatment, BGH is really good.

I didn't want Trouba, but the bottom line is there are plenty of places with NHL teams, ones that could afford him, with just as good, if not better, hospitals that he could easily go to. He wanted to go to NY and used her as an excuse, that's all.

Didn't bennington just about single handily win st. Louis the cup?

Goaltending is important.

They just got lucky he was underpaid as their 4th rated goalie

- Boss34

No, Binnington singlehandedly got them to the playoffs, but was far below average in the playoffs. They won despite him.
