Thanks kid, I have a good grasp of how arbitration works.

His ask is ridiculous and the Sabres should walk if it's even close to 2.65

9 (frank)ing goals does not equate to 2.65 per.

I think you're splitting pointless margins. Erod with Vesey will be solid. Just keep Sobotka the hell away from them
- jcragcrumple

That’s what it’s come to us worrying about fourth line players Jesus ..

Because Copp would be an upgrade over him

Not like he’s Earth shattering so so good Lol 😂 There’s nothing else to talk about

- gerbe75pts

I like Copp a lot. He’s better IMO, but it’s not night and day

They'll probably buy him out

They wanted to save the Sobotka buyout because they need to buy erod out

Apparently they can’t walk away now
- gerbe75pts

Ok thank you

I remember the Tim Kennedy senario

When Darcy slid the buy out across the table, Tim thought he was kidding at first. He had just purchased a downtown waterfront condo

Sobotka is going to be loaned to some team in Europe.

I honestly cannot believe the amount of coverage Erod is getting.

It’s rivaling Jeff Skinner as a daily topic of debate

- sbroads24

We have Swedish Jesus...... I don’t know if people forgot amidst all the Erod and Nelson talk.

As been stated upwards of a billion times, you can't walk away from awards under a threshold, which Erod will be under (4M someone said). Can buy him out though
- SDSabre

As per TSN.

Copp and the Jets had their arbitration hearing Sunday and had until the decision was announced to reach a deal on their own, which they could not. The Jets now have the option to accept the contract or allow Copp to become a UFA.

TRANSACTION: F - Andrew Copp has been awarded a two-year contract with an AAV of $2.28 million by an independent arbitrator.

There doesn't seem to be any minimum to walk away.

For the billionth time, that is not possible

Copp got 2.8 TSN says Jets have the option to walk away, Copp becomes UFA.

This is Copp's 2nd arbitration hearing. Perhaps that has something to do with it?

I don't think they can trade the player, either, from what I've read.

So a buyout is the only other option. (I think)

They are double wrong. Using walk away rights, which they can't, on a 2 year deal reduces it to 1 year.

Kinda quiet,
so his personality doesn’t really match his style of play... yet

But yeah...
i think we could use a guy like him in our lineup when he’s ready

Cozens takes much more
Kinda funny actually
We joked about his thumb injury
Which he said is coming along nicely

No. It has to be an award over $4.3 million or something, from what everyone has been saying

Ok, now hear me out, What if everyone walks away? Maybe E-Rod walks away from Botts and to the arbitrator, But then the arbitrator decides to get up and walk away. This causes Botts to get frustrated and walk over the Falls.

Is that allowed?

No, but it's a moot point anyway imo. He has value around the league by any team that tracks advanced stats.

If they want him gone, he'll be part of a trade package, if that's possible, which, you'll have to ask Lunaion
