The only way I see us trading for Gusev if we make another trade Saad for picks, otherwise I do not see the math working.
- LAHawk

Actually moving saad isn't a bad idea, his contract becomes a MNTC after this season , and he is likely to be traded beforehand just to create more cap space.

I like cap space as much as anyone. I dream about it at night.

But at some point you actually have to ice a team with productive, useful players.

He already moved out their best 3C candidate - largely for cap space, I think.

I’m not sure trading a 20-40 200-footer when making the playoffs in the coming season seems to be an important imperative (redundant?) is a good idea.

Pretty sure ADB didn’t show too well in those same drills then stormed onto the scene in the tournament/training camp. Anyone else recall this? Some guys are gamers and tge extra juice flowing takes them to another level.
- Assman22

Yes. I saw ADB at prospect camp and was not very impressed during the drills. He proved us wrong thankfully.

It could just be that as an undersized player he doesn't fair well in one on one drills but in a game environment he's able to find space and has a wicked release

Maybe that applies to ADB, but I thought Nylander had some size to him.

Correct. Nylander has at least 4 inches and 20 lbs on debrincat. I was only giving my thoughts on why debrincat may not have seemed to perform well in one on one drills and that same benefit of the doubt should not be applied to nylander. Debrincat's issue was mostly to do with size and reach while nylander's issue seems to be attitude.

I, for one, won't care where Jakiharju stands - I will only be concerned about Nylander.

He's the Blackhawk.

Jokiharju isn't.

- StLBravesFan

Well Nylander and Joki are now linked and always compared against each other. I do think Boqvist will be a star in the NHL, but you just never know. Keep in mind all this info came out about Teuvo and the information i kept hearing was Schmaltz was going to be even better, it's true he is better at avoiding any contact. We'll see but with this trade they have been linked together.

Im impressed he was able to flip Schmaltz for Strome, thank you Arizona

Why is it that Nylander sux already never really had a long run in the nhl

Perlini sux needs to be gone already had a see/saw year.

Everyone missses joker who did play longer but no guarantee as a top 4 defensemen in the nhl.

Now we want to get the Russian kid from veagas who hasn’t proved anything in the nhl pay him 4 m which will cut into the ability to sign 12/17 long term I don’t follow the logic

We all want four million, lol I have been watching Gusev on Youtube this past week and I am pretty certain it would be like Panarin and Kane all over again. Gusev and Kane would be dynamic together imo and Stan should really go after him. Our top six would be lights out!

I think your mixing a bunch of bloggers together. Im not happy with the trade but im willing tp give the kid a chance, same with Perlini, same with Dach or any kid in Rockford. I like the competition Bowman created with most of his moves. Just cause he made s trade doesn't mean i have to like it, in fact don't like the last 2, but those are 2 separate things.

Not sure which part, see or saw, is the bad part....but which ever one it is, there was much more of the bad one.
