Oh come on now! I wouldnt call Canada's economy crippled.. I mean.. I know they make most of their money smuggling maple syrup in to the States and all that, but... wait.. you werent talking about Canada? Oh.. umm.. right. Ok. - Doc_Sarcasm
When I was young, I just assumed that Log Cabin maple syrup came from Canada or Alaska, or some other far-away land of ice and eternal frost. I mean, just look at the (frank)ing logo. I was so let down when I found out it was made in Cherry Hill. |

Real Madrid is currently in a 52-year championship drought? - jmatchett383
Right and the leafs haven't won it in ages as well. Doesn't diminish the fact that these teams/towns are massively important to the sport with their rabid fanbases. |

That was Häagen-Dazs for me. I mean.. back in the day it had a map of Denmark on the container for Chrissakes! What do you mean it was founded in Brooklyn? |

Eagles camp starts this week right which means a month until hockey stuff really picks up!
Also it's freaking 80 degrees and no humidity in Orange County right now, freaking amazing. |

For the prospect article on the athletic, it seems like a lot of recency bias. York ahead of frost and farabee? Really?

Prediction:
Out of camp AV goes with a kid if they don’t do a trade or sign that Burdasov guy from the KHL.
He says he likes to make things fit with playmakers, 200 foot players and goal scores along with his D being in their natural side.
Line one gets top line minutes and line 4 gets a checking role. Lines 2 and 3 get even minutes depending on match up.

Top line in D sees top comp. 3rd line is sheltered and sees a lot of O zone draws.

The list is quite an enigma. With Flyers fans being so high on Frost and Farabee. Then to see them listed 10-15 spots behind mighty mites like Cole Canfield and Alexi Heponiemi, I don’t know what to think.

You missed the question mark. Real Madrid is a current powerhosue with tons of championships to their name in the last half decade. |

Took me a while to figure out who "JV" was. First I thought it was JVR, then Junior Varsity (???), then realized "Jake" wasn't listed. |

Ahso.
Okay, so it turns out it was made in Forest Lake, Minnesota. So, North-ish, but their average temperatures never dip below zero. Not quite good enough, but better. |

Definitely some recency bias, and not just with the Flyers picks.

You can say that about a vast majority of the futbol clubs around the world. The fact that Real Madrid has a rich history of past and recent success is what makes the comparison hilarious |

Well I left that open to interpretation without realizing it. They have vets in the AHL. What I was really looking at was he would go with one of the first time pros in particular Frost.
They have other options as listed by the coaches. Some will have to pass waivers. |

It’s like every kid out there. They love their brand new toys better. Bee is very promising. Backing up his draft year with that great freshman campaign.
Pretty high on him. Need to use his slide year though. Those ELC are key in the cap era. Unless he just crushes the competition. He is a great prospect. |

It's a joke to have Fox that high. He's got a great skill set but he's also going to turn 22 this season and has never played any level of pro hockey. |
