Are you up for paying Boeser $10.1m?

That’s why there are no OS, because teams don’t want to pay a guy $10 if they can pay him $8 or $7.

8 guys with 40 or more points, 7 of them will be back. You guys are sadly mistaken if you think a team like that is falling off.
- neem55

I was talking bottom 6 and they suck hard - Sorenson hit 30pts - wow, Goodrow and Karlsson 16pts - like a bottom end full of Granlund/Mottes

Couture, Kane, LeBanc, Hertl, Meier and whether Thornton comes back are a great top 6 but as for forward prospects, really its True, Halbgewachs at the AHL level and maybe Chmelevski and Norris but both are ??? marks.

Losing Pavelski, Donskoi, Nygvist and Braun will hurt them severely

I'm talking about prospects in their system that can get called up. I'll say they're deeper than us.

I actually think the canucks will either have everything go right and get in, or the rails fall off and they end up drafting top 10

And?

Where did I suggest he was?

The point, you stupid fat (frank), is that teams are not going the offer sheet route because the only way it doesn’t get matched is if you pay a player WAY more than you should.

My hope: Canucks make a push, playing hard tough games but fall just short of the playoffs. They’re upset, but use it as fuel for the future. They have some of the worst draft odds, but somehow win the top spot in the draft. Bettman is so upset he cries on live TV. All is good in Canucks land and they make the playoffs the next season 😎

The way he ripped the Comets about his development, and praised the San Jose Barracuda's.

Guess that didn't work out either?

San Jose has lots of depth in the event of injuries, VAN not so much.
- VanHockeyGuy

Got alot better this off season though. When Edler-Tanev-Sutter-Baertchi go down We have Hughes-Benn and Miller-Ferland and a few others who can step in. Better than AHL scraps Biega and so forth all the time lol

I hope they make it this season, however they'll get bounced in due order. Hand the pick to Tampa.

The Ottawa Senators had 8 players hit 40 or more points and half of them went to other teams. They were in last and ended up in last.

Boston had 6 players hit 40 points this season. They made the cup finals. They had 8 the previous year and didn't make the cup finals.

Almost no different then Gillis trading for Mats Sundin to change the culture and a year and a half later they are in game 7 without him.

What if they would have kept him? Would Van had won instead of lost? Could the crying be over?

Kevin LeBanc would have been the only really tweener player who you could have offered more to screw a team over.

Buchnevich might be worthy of an offer sheet in the same value as say Johansson/ Kapanen. That would put NYR in a pickle.

Don’t think so. They’ve got a lot of leadership in that dressing room. He’s a hell of a goal scorer but meier, hertl and lebanc are just coming into form. Nyquist was a rental, no loss there. Donskoi they did fine wothout, no loss there. Braun hurts, but an older regressing guy. Canucks could learn a thing or two about letting some of the older guys go. Karlsson and Sorenson are both great bottom 6 guys. I expect a few of their prospects to graduate from the AHL, as they develop players well.

Id take any bet about them making the playoffs or canucks finishing higher than them, what a joke!

Fun facts. Having more productive players, is better than having less.
