Don’t think so. They’ve got a lot of leadership in that dressing room. He’s a hell of a goal scorer but meier, hertl and lebanc are just coming into form. Nyquist was a rental, no loss there. Donskoi they did fine wothout, no loss there. Braun hurts, but an older regressing guy. Canucks could learn a thing or two about letting some of the older guys go. Karlsson and Sorenson are both great bottom 6 guys. I expect a few of their prospects to graduate from the AHL, as they develop players well.

Id take any bet about them making the playoffs or canucks finishing higher than them, what a joke!

Oh I think they'll make the PO's...but won't go far.

E Karlsson's a pretty big wild card in San Jose's future. His injury issues could be a problem, or perhaps ego and personality clashes with the other guys there could become one. Sharks have gambled heavily on him. For the Canuck's sake, I hope it goes horribly wrong.

Fun facts. Having more productive players, is better than having less.
- neem55

Here's a fun fact. San Jose should have been bounced in the first round. No arguing that.

Interesting scenario never though of it that way.

Justin Williams provided so much to the Carolina Hurricanes. They still lost.

Literally, someone beat Boston for the cup this year and I can't think of who it was.

There’s two types of people in this world: people that want to talk about what should have or could have been; and people who want to talk about reality.

San Jose won game 7. Any series that goes to game 7 is close and relies on luck. They got lucky. Lots of teams get lucky, that’s sports.

That seems to be the whole bet for the season. To make the play-offs they got to go through the Sharks. Plus Yotes. It's at least possible now. Odds are they don't.

But for the first time in a while there aren't any gaping holes in the Canuck's line up and some depth to handle a couple injuries.

San Jose Boston Final, Boston wins. Gaunce lifts the cup and gives a shout out to his boy Horvat for always believing in him.

Sure. There's lots up to chance. San Jose could finish anywhere in the top three if Karlsson and Burns play 82 at full power. I think the Flames could easily slide. Teams started figuring out that top line. Talbot is trash. Vegas is not deep on the back end. Every team has their issues in the Pacific. I think the canucks finish close to 90 points or maybe even get there but still miss the dance this year.

It happens in sports, refereeing is one of many variables. Vegas still fell apart on the penalty kill. San Jose still had to score all those goals. How many times do you see a 5 minute penalty and no goal scored? people that blame refs, bettman and anything else other than their team just not doing enough to win are just sore losers.

Well that opens things up more on the vulnerability side of Pacific division. If anyone can slide given those factors then the Canucks could hit the mark on their changes. They are now at least capable of taking advantage to move up.

For sure, I don't think there is any denying they are the most improved in the division. They might be the only team that got better really haha.

That's an awful lot of dismissals - the argument was they have a ton of depth - I disagree and I've yet to hear a valid argument as to how/who replaces any of those guys? They've brought back zero guys to replace them so they're hoping that talent from within will step up and do it?? Hertl, LeBanc, Meier, Kane, Couture all had career years so you're expecting them all to repeat production or be even better? Even if they do, they still need something from their prospects, I just don't see who's picking up the slack. They might make the playoffs but regression is highly likely. BTW Joe Thornton just turned 40 - nothing funny about that joke.

I don't disagree. But the same could go against them, if that call doesn't get made, Vegas wins.

It's all woulda, shoulda, coulda and what if's

Meier, Karlsson and Lebanc I fully expect to improve, yes. Roy or Wood steps in for Braun. True looks likely to be another bottom 6 addition, huge center that can do a bit of everything. I could see Suomela making the lineup, ripped it up in europe and out it together toward the end of the year in the A. Marleau is back. Yes he and thorton are old as balls, Burns, Karlsson, Couture, Kane, Meier and Hertl still make them a threat. That was their best players last year and will be again this year. I'm not being dismissive. Braun and Pavelski are significant losses. Donskoi and Nyquist are not, which is why I pointed it out.

Are any of you guys doing a lot of online shopping for women's undergarments and beach wear? This site seems to be inundated with ads for those products, which you'd think would be a bit of a mismatch for the demographics here. Don't really mind the ads themselves, just find it all a bit puzzling.

Lol, it’s based on your browsing and search history. Even from other computers and phones that have your email/social media hooked up to it. I’ll look at something on amazon on my computer and get ads on Instagram for similar things the next hour. They sell your information pretty cheaply
