Ok new game: Best position accurate NHL starting lineup of players born during the same year as you. I’ve got:

Johnny Hockey-Scheifele-Kucherov

Ghost-Dougie Hamilton

Gibson

That’s actually pretty (frank)ing stacked.

Came back late...not sure what this game is besides a more productive way to use this down time than negativity, so I applaud you guys.

A thought. Galchenyuk (does he have a chosen nickname here yet?) and the Pens posted that “arrival” video. Is it possible that he gets swept up in the Penguin way and finds his game in a big way?

And in the adverse, if the Penguin way is so awe inspiring to Galchenyuk, freaking Phil is gonna miss it if Arizona is so not the Penguin way.

Matt Martin has an impact in the game every single shift he ever takes. Say that about Tomas Tatar or Bryan Rust.

Yeah, sucker punching Max Talbot from behind because Talbot laid a clean hit on a guy and Rick DiPietro got hurt fighting a goalie that he himself challenged was "impactful."

Dude's a piece of poop.

Didn’t the Islanders win like 9 to 1 that game? Dudes a beaut. Just because he poops all over the flyers and Pens for that matter every year don’t be a hater.

They were up 6-0 at the time of the brawl.

I have no problem with tough guys. Guys like (to use the Pens) Troy Loney, Dennis Bonvie, Krzysztof Oliwa, Georges Laraque, and Eric Goddard. They weren't very good at playing hockey, but their job was to go out, throw a few hits and, if needed, fight. They weren't dirty players, they were just enforcers.

Matt Martin, on the other hand, is a dirty cheap shot artist, with Talbot being the most glaring example. Much like the oft-criticized Tom Wilson, he doesn't care whether you're injured or not, he's just trying to hurt you. No place for guys like that in any era.

Who the (frank) is Brian Propp hahahahaha why didn’t you pick like Brian Leech or Brian Trottier?

Edit. Trottier is Bryan.

Almost went Leech..... Really?!? Dude had 400+ career goals, 1000 points. Maybe I should've went with Gibbons

Brian Propp is probably one of the most underrated hockey players ever, but you gotta go Leetch. This is coming from a Flyers fan who hates the Rangers.

I liked guys like Cooke (aside from the dirty hits), Barnaby, Downie, Comeau on the bottom two lines. They could play a bit and had sandpaper. Not so much for Comeau.

As much as I hated Barnaby, he was a pretty straight player. He had the most punchable face in NHL history (Marchand has since taken over), and he makes Sean Avery look like a school boy. But with few exceptions over a lengthy career, he would fight anyone, never turtled, and was never a dirty player. He would yap and give that big poop-eating grin, run you through the boards, and had no problem dropping the gloves.

But man, seeing Eric Lindros beat the piss out of him was so satisfying.

Edit: I really liked Dennis Bonvie, too. Dude was a little nuts and was usually out of his league at the NHL level, but was always more than willing to give it a go.

Absolutely agree, and from a Pens fan who hates Flyers.... Just went with 3 forwards as that was the trend but agree with Leech too.

Fack. Still playing? If not I've got a decent team

D.Sedin - H.Sedin - B.Richards

H.Zetterberg - V.Lecavalier (better than using Liles - Beachemin and Orpik on D)

Except it's supposed to be " best position accurate team". Your D might be your team's undoing but I still think it would beat my team hahah.
