2.75 to 3 per
ullamrk 1.8 to 2 per - homiedclown
I think McCabe at $2.75-3 seems about right.
Ullmark seems a little high, his stats were not that great last year, but seeing what Rittich got, it might be about right. |

I’m saying 4-5m - gerbe75pts
Then discount by 35% for actual games played.
I'm guessing around $2.85 - $3.15 |

Your guess on McCabe award is what? - IonSabres
The Sabres qualifying offer was $1.775m. That is higher than what any other RFA dman signed for besides Trouba, Zadorov, Pionk and Sanheim. If he signs for 1 year I could see it being around $2m which would make him a UFA next year I believe. If they work out a long term deal prior to the hearing I could see something like $3m per for 3 years which would be closer to what Zadorov and Pionk signed for but adding an extra year. |

If McCabe gets that, then Montour comes in at $7.5 next year. |

Before most recent awards this season, I never expected Erod to get $2.0m ... figured closer 1.5 or so.
Your guess on McCabe award is what? - IonSabres
His contract was projected at around 2.3M, without arb.
McCabe is projected at around 2.7. With arb, I'd say 2.2-2.3. |

Andrei Vasilevskiy has signed an 8-year extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning. 8 year $9.5m per ($76m total).
Ouch! There goes TB!
We need to be rock solid on the entry level for UPL. (same as with a QB, build to win on their entry level deal). Hockey is more about getting a rock solid goalie for as cheap as possible. - Lilroot9

List of recent Stanley Cup Winners:
2019 : STL - Binnington ~ $650k salary
2018 : Washington - Holtby ~$6.1m salary
2017 : Pittsburgh - Murray ~$902k salary
2016 : Pittsburgh - Murray ~$902k salary
2015 : Blackhawks - Crawford ~$6m salary
2014 : Kings - Quick ~$5.8m salary
2013 : Blackhwaks - Crawford ~$2.66m salary
2012 : Kings - Quick ~$1.8m salary
2011 : Bruins - Thomas ~$5m salary
2010 : Blackhawks - Niemi ~$827l salary
So anything over $6 seems to be a large mistake. - Lilroot9
But 6mil back 5 or 6 years ago is basically 9mil now
There’s plenty of ways to build a Cup winner
And 1 of them is around a top priced goalie

Gusev rumors heating up again #VGK #NHL
Hearing some chatter on Devils possibly making strong offer for Gusev #VGK no word if deal happens but seems talks are heating up
*Warning* never used this source before so it's not 100% yet, source did have Simmonds signing through 3rd party.
This dude is on point with all sports rumors. Maybe we find out his new home soon? - Lilroot9
Hopefully it’s here!!

3, actually. Term amounts are quite a bit more unpredictable than dollar amounts. But regardless of the term (non-arb contracts), the AAV is usually pretty close. |

Seems baseless to simply say, well, they won cause their goalie was cheaper than 6M.
Before this offseason, 6 goalies made more than Holtby.
All of them got their teams to the playoffs recently. Who's to say if STL wins with Bob, or MAF, or Price? It's luck and skill. |

Unconfirmed source reports the Devils have acquired Nikita Gusev from the Golden Knights without giving up a player or a 1st round pick. Also reports an announcement coming between this evening and Wednesday morning.
Trying to confirm info.

The tweet I posted said they did not give up a top prospect or a 1st round pick. So it seems like it could have been a second rounder and a mid level prospect.
Edit: I am not saying I would pay that price, but he could be really good. - Lilroot9
I’d have done that in a heartbeat

I'm not saying they won because the goalie was cheap, but spending too much cap space on a goalie is the problem. I guess I am saying you need all the cap space you can get for skaters. |

BREAKING: Nikita Gusev has been traded to the New Jersey Devils. Hearing the return to the Golden Knights is a 2021 2nd Round Pick and a 2020 3rd Round Pick.

Pass. I like Point a lot, but we shouldn't be giving up on Mitts who could be as good. Also, Point is pretty small and we should be getting bigger. Tampa Bay does not really have any cap dumps either with Callahan going on LTIR. |

Sources tell The Athletic the Golden Knights gave Nikita Gusev's camp permission to meet with the New Jersey Devils this weekend, to see if a deal on a contract could be reached.
No trade has officially been reached but I'm told a deal could be coming soon. #VegasBorn |
