Yeah I’m a fan. Totally different vibe from The Shining but it gives good closure to Danny’s story. I have a gang of King books I’d recommend before Dr. Sleep though. - Victoro311
I used to be a big King fan. I love the Dark Tower series and many of his older books. He's lost me of late, but when he's on I really like his books. |

That McDonagh contract won't help matters. - jmatchett383
Agree, that will be the Seabrook deal at some point.
67.4M committed to 13 players already next year and that doesn't include Point, Cirelli, Sergachev, and Cernak. 🤪 |

I got into King by doing an expanded reading of the Dark Tower series. So great. |

Silence of the Lambs
Leon
Usual Suspects
Full Metal Jacket
A top 10 is hard hahaha - j.boyd919

So many of these mid-tiers contracts with NTC/NMC that they almost have to flip their collection of really really good RFA's for more guys who are on ELC's

I wish Netflix would commit to a DT series and do it justice. I like Idris Elba but that was one of the worst, if not the worst adaptations I've ever seen. |

Really? I feel like that movie was love it or hate it. I’m a big Leo fan, probably why I liked it. Probably the best actor of our generation. |

Amazon bought those rights and they’re doing it. Have you been following it? I’m pretty hopeful.
Yeah that movie is an abomination. Even if you’re not expecting a faithful DT adaptation it’s still just very boring and you can tell the cast isn’t into it at all. I though Matthew McConaughey was such a good casting choice for Flagg too and they just wasted it. I also think Idris could have pulled off Roland if given a good script but that’s neither here nor there at this point. |

I’m a big fan of his as well. I just found the movie too predictable and once the big reveal toward the end, the end just wound up annoying me. |

I’m pretty hopeful for their LotR series as well. Everything that’s come out so far makes me think they’re doing it right. They saw a power vacuum open up after GoT ended and are pulling a full court press to corner the fantasy premium tv market and LotR and DT are their flagships (obviously LotR is way bigger of the two but still). Makes me think they’re gonna do everything in their power to do these things right because it’s whats gonna get them to the big boys table with Netflix and HBO. They also have the rights to Wheel of Time. |

I'm excited for that one, my favorite sword and scorcery series, (don't read those anymore but had to finish that one), but I don't know how they'll fit all that into a show. |

I'm reading it again as a refresher. So good. Not sure there's been a better story than that of the Aiel. |

Sort of a cross between that and GOT I guess. It's much bigger: 14 books with many of them around 1000 pages. Has a lot more grey moral areas than LOTR which is from a Christian worldview.
They'd probably need to cut out some subplots to fit it all and focus on fewer characters. Lots of unique, well-developed societies. |
