Honestly BT could trade Frolik for picks or prospect and I’d be fine ...he’s still an effective middle 6 guy at a decent cap ...he’s just not getting along with the coach and we have younger players that will play larger roles

I think you need to go look at Cap Friendly . There are about 2 teams that could do what you are hoping for and neither one of them is giving up picks it would be a Cap Dump on Flames part.

I think you need to go look at Cap Friendly . There are about 2 teams that could do what you are hoping for and neither one of them is giving up picks it would be a Cap Dump on Flames part.

Wild are trying to move a 5.5 mil Zucker for cap space so take them off the list.

It ain't great lol but we are a better team. Seems like a few options to make it work. I feel like something will give. Luckily the timing is pretty good for those contracts coming off the books and needing to sign our actual good players.

The thing about these articles are they are written by a guy at home on his keyboard that has an opinion. There are so many wannabe bloggers now calling themselves the official voice of the team or the voice of the people.

Part of his article says the suckiest of the sucks of cap problems is the Luongo recapture and how it hurts us.

It hurt us so much that Benning went out two weeks later and signed Ferland to a four year deal at 3.5 mil.

Anyone who thinks we won't be cap compliant and have a 23 man roster and won't be able to sign the stars of this team need to give their head a shake.

(Sens only team with an abundance of space but they don't have the actual dollars to pay the guys whatever that actually make in salary)

Sens do have the space but they are not sending back first round picks unless they are getting Matt Tkachuk to play with his brother.

I don't like what Benning did with the Miller trade but I think in the end it will be a good player for Canucks.

He’s maybe worth a pick. Contract is not that great for a regressing player. Trust me, we are experts on regressing players around here

It was a good trade, but looking at the landscape it certainly feels like Miller could have been had for (a lot) less, and with a few more $$ to play with there is room for another shrewd pickup

You shouldn't be worried . Flames too will be cap compliant and and have their young stars under contract but your expectations of getting big returns on your cap dumps will be off .
