You mean Gaudette, bo doing offensive duty now. - Bettmanhatesus
I see no reason for either of them to be stuck with defensive zone face offs against top lines. What’s the point of Sutter and Beagle if the young skilled centers end up playing shutdown roles? The whole selling point on Sutter/Beagle is that they can shoulder the tough minute load to free up the others in an offensive role. That's how Washington used Beagle.

We should see that with the healthy start. There should be no reason to put Bo in most of the D zone starts with this C depth now. Even Miller adds depth in that position. No screwing with our top two C's because of bottom 6 injuries anymore I hope.

I'm not sure how much ice-time Gaudette will receive if any aside from injury or trade. The kid could benefit from a year playing pro, handling more assignments.

Send him to Utica and play Sutter into a trade. Most likely Gaudette replaces an injured Sutter in the end. One way or another, Gaudette will be back on the Canucks at some point. Trade hopefully...

What is it you like about Gaudette's game, I found him to be pretty marginal most of the time and average the rest of the time.

I could see him playing wing late in the season if nothing else, always nice to have another guy that can take draws. I think he's going to be a good player, but could use some developing.

He needs development. That's the point.
I think he works hard, has hockey IQ, battles and has a quick shot release. It's going to take some time to develop his faceoffs but he'll come around. He'll probably report with a little bit more weight this camp. That will help with the next step.
1st line minutes in Utica would go a long way for his future in the NHL. Also, I'd like to see what he does with Lind on his wing.

Agreed, I am hoping he works out and I like your idea of him with Lind.
