But can they walk away from the award? - buffalofan19
since he clearly will be awarded north of 5 mil yes they can.. but if for some reason he is awarded lets say under 1 mil, i think they have to give him the contract (see timmy K) |

I genuinely find the situation humorous. That's all - jcragcrumple
I mean I couldn't care less if he signs with us or not. I do find it funny too that people care so much about an AHL player that is going to sign for $800k. The middle of the summer is boring, I get it.
Let's talk about where we see Dahlin in year 2. I think with the roster overhaul and his growth he should get around 60 points. |

I feel like 60 is the floor of where he should be this year. |

Played with McDavid, Strome and Debrincat in Erie. Outscored Strome and Debrincat in the playoffs.
From HockeyDB:
In terms of NHL potential, he projects as a Matt Martin-like bottom-six energy winger with the high end potential of a complementary goal-scorer, "glue guy", similar to Chicago's Bryan Bickell.

He had 44 last year, so gaining at least 16 more points should be a great jump. But playing with better D men and should be getting more ice time, I can see 60+. I don't know I would call it the floor, but Karlsson did not get to 78 (over 60) until year 3. Actually in year 2 he had 45. |

Not saying you, but what is all this hate for the guy and this arbitration hearing? First, the Sabres chose to qualify him, wanting him on the team (AHL move). Next the player has the option to go to arbitration or not (he must think he would get a better deal that way, which is his right).
I know the player is not a difference maker at all and pretty replaceable, but what is the problem? A guy wants to get the best pay he can for a job that could leave him injured the rest of his life. You would do the same. As for the team, he should be a low cap hit, who should be top 9 in AHL, can we be mad at the Sabres for wanting to improve (win) Rochester? - Lilroot9
Just a guess, but I think it's because he didn't agree to a contract, meaning he thinks he's worth more than league minimum. It's interesting to see a guy who's clearly not worth much think he's worth more. Just to see where he wants to be is semi interesting to me. Also, Dog days, nothing going on, Dahlin for the Rocket (I went there) John Jack demoted to the ECHL where he belongs. Reinhart has no heart. Skinner will regress, but also draw a poop ton of penalties, goalie tandem will surprise, either really well or just terrible, no middle ground. Risto will be + this year, but on a different team. We will all complain that he's much better somewhere else besides in Buf. Sheary is garbage, Scandella bounces back... to the AHL. And Elie becomes the first line center I always knew he could be. |

Yes and most likely his wife. Who is not cooperating, which helps him, so he can earn more money, which I am sure he said he will share, if she stays quiet. |

The only part I do not like in the sens Tampa deal is that the sens didn’t get anything in return. No value at all.
Atleast the hurricanes got value for Marleau. So it felt like the leafs paid to get the cap relief
The sens got nothing |
