The ultimate question, of life the universe and everything - Canuck édition.
If Benning had actually convinced ownership (when he was hired) that a rebuild was required, would the team be just where they are right now (Hughes, Petey, Boeser, Woo, Podsey, Hogey etc) or would they be cup contenders (or more on their way)?
Obviously, no one knows for sure, but what do you think?
Personally, I don’t think things would be much different, which is why Benning should be fired. - 1970vintage

I don't have a preference of which draft to miss. I think with the skill levels of kids these days all drafts will be good. Like I said I have seen Lafreniere play a few times. He is good but I can see the following draft have another equal player . - VANTEL
2022 draft
Mathew Savioe and Shane Wright are supposed to be the next generational forwards.
2021 draft Matthew Beniers probably better than Jack Hughes. |

I could start debating about this, it's morning here, but you'd be up all night with counter arguments - LeftCoaster
It has been debated for years n here and here we still are with no correct answer of how to win a cup . People think they know how to win it but they don't. |

Lafreniere Byfield Raymond & Holtz 4 names off the top of my head for 2020 - Nighthawk
Every draft has about ten names . We are not in danger of losing a top 10 pick in 2020

Multiple formulas and intangibles. So many things need to go right for it to happen. Draftists say one thing while many teams win cups with only 7-8 players actually drafted by the club that wins. STL added a rash of players that helped them get over the hump that weren't drafted by STL. But alot of their main draft picks contributed huge too in the cup run. It's a combination of so many things, drafting, development, FA's, trades so on and so forth. It isn't just one element like many would claim. |

So many people without NHL experience grabbing their keyboard and making these fake web pages.
Area 51 started about a month ago. So this guy has been doing this less than a month |

He's probably just a fan like you and I but likes to write about it so others can read it. My brother in law told me to start a twitter account and tweet things about the Canucks. He said people will follow and I could get a job like Biech did.
I have a job, it pays well. I also don't want to debate with people on twitter, seems pointless. |

If you are going to do it then you better start quick because everyday there is someone new popping up proclaiming to be the insight to the team.
People are catching onto their bullsh1t and calling them out more and more. You are much better off showing facts and figures like Carol does. |

True
Both were 6 million dollar one year deals hampering their teams ability to sign star players
Crazy how much more one costs |

I think if Callahan hadn’t been diagnosed with a “degenerative” disorder - if there was a risk that he would actually be cleared to play - it would have cost the lightning much more to move him. |

this, tampa just lowered their cap hit by over 3 mill. Ottawa doesn't have to pay actual dollars to Condon (cheap owner). Tampa clears cap to sign Point. |
