If you could go ahead and sort of take care of the locker room smell while you're down here, that would be great. Thanks Remi

So you want the place burned down? Remember, Milton wins in the end. Burns the place down and gets rich.

Wrong.

DGAF anymore.

You guys can speculate all you want as to why this non essential player wasn't signed to an extension mid season.

And for those using the word, "arbiter", you're wrong. It's "arbitrator".

Carry on.

Tuch it, Beady.

- Powerslave

"Arbiter" and "arbitrator" are somewhat interchangeable, it's not nearly as bad as "resign" instead of "re-sign" or "could of/should of".

It is both.
The evidence will support it.
And, hopefully they can unload several players with expiring contracts at the TDL for some decent prospects, and picks that can be packaged for NHL-ready prospects.
That helps restock and the Cap Money allows them to go big game hunting next offseason.

Things are looking cherry!

- IonSabres

“Unloading several players with expiring contracts at the TDL” sounds pretty optimistic. The past few TDLs have been pretty quiet in Sabreland.

And short of vast overpayments, offseason “big game hunting” is difficult for me to picture.

Nurse and Zadorov are both a year younger and are better players both signed for $3.2m. Will Butcher just signed for $3.5m and Sanheim for $3.2m. So yes, his ask is whacked. The Sabres offer is low, but that is how negotiations work. And even if it is low, it is still more than a $300k raise for a player that couldn't manage to stay healthy for even 60 games the last two years. Also, over the last three years he's been on the ice for an average of more than a goal per game.

An arbiter is anyone with the power to decide disputes. It's basically squares and rectangles. All arbitrators are arbiters, but not all arbiters are arbitrators.

Somewhat. But not really. 😂

An arbiter is anyone who makes widely or generally accepted decisions about anything. People can be informally recognized as arbiters of style, good taste, etc.

An arbitrator is an individual formally designated by the parties to resolve a legal dispute, and whose decision will be accepted by those specific parties.

It doesn't really matter. I was just busting balls.

Technically he us correct.
You are right as well in that people use them interchangeably, likely because they don't know the difference.

1 - 1, going to 3:3 OT.

Mr. Ion,

Well said. I couldn't agree more. Things are definitely looking better.

Not what I saw as the defined difference.
Arbiter is selected by the parties to resolve a conflict, render a decision.
Arbitrator is appointed, usually by a governing body.

These are infact Arbitrators as you pointed out.
But Bandit makes a good point that the specific differences are glossed over by most, usually out of ignorance?

I lived there for 25 years, trust me, it is fvcking cloudy from mid Oct through April...non freaking stop. The lack of sunshine there sucks ass compared to Buffalo. The completely insane live there, lol.
- IonSabres

*shrug* I dunno, I always enjoyed living there. I lived in Henrietta. I worked in Fairport while in school. I worked in the city. The Rochester area is Buffalo minor, in every way shape and form. Dif'rent strokes, I guess.

🙂

I love the Bradenton area. Definitely gonna be a winter spot eventually. I head down for a Sabres game every year. Kinda bummed they play in Sweden this year.

Already have my fight booked for November 25th

For profit schools?
That was the entire country.
Or is there something else you're referring to?

The Ontario govt is getting in bed with American online academies. I’ve heard that many in the states basically take public tax money and keep it while offering sub standard “educational” courses online. Taking money from public education and moving it to big businesses/cronies. This is a way of undermining faith in public education while working towards privatization and $$$ for the well connected.

I was hoping that there were some exemptions to the Practice Squad, but I have no idea how it works.

It seems like Yeldon or McCoy could be as good as gone at this rate

- thatsapickle

McCoy old and busted
Gore older then dirt and busted

Yeldon in prime, 3rd down and 2 minute offense RB
Rookie

pretty sure yeldon sticks

Sure. But you don’t get to see this juggernaut of a hockey team dominate outmatched and outclassed opponents live and in-person 41 times a year...

An arbiter is just a word for any person with the power to decide disputes--that's the legal definition. A judge is an arbiter. So is the Supreme Court.

I'm not sure how you're using the term "appointed" here, but arbitrators typically aren't appointed. They are selected by the parties according to the terms of their arbitration agreement.
