I really like Oscar Lindblom and it looks like he is a keeper for me. He steadily improves year by year and hopefully he can work himself into a top six role. Competition is going to be tough and I see him likely on line 3. Farabee is the one prospect that stands out for me and making the team is possible. Be interesting if he goes back to college or turns pro.

Lindblom can play the right side as well as the left, so he could end up being the 3RW.

I like this, with Frost in the AHL

Lindlblom may not have scored as much as I would have liked ( 17G, 16A ), but he usually seemed to put himself in the proper position on the ice. I believe the goals will come as he gets more playing time. His chemistry with Patrick was obvious. Hopefully that gets even better this season?
- Thors-Hammer

Really? I would say that scoring output was beyond anything we could have hoped from the guy.

In particular he defended Hak's absurd over usage of Lehtera, even when it was obvious Lehtera couldn't play in the NHL anymore.

Lehtera only played 3 NHL games and 5 AHL games after Hak was fired.

- Feanor

Exactly, the last straw for me was taking Konecny off the first line and replacing him with Raffl late in the season. Konecny had been on fire and then got demoted. Hak talked about balance but in honesty, my opinion the only think that I can give any credit to Hakstol for was moving Giroux to lw. Other than that they both, hex and Hax were really out to lunch on so many issues, ie, Lehtera, goaltending and line juggling.

If the Flyers felt like adding another Swedish Oscar, they could start Frost and Farabee in the AHL.

Why criticize Thors post? It was dead on and he said nothing negative. He would have liked more meaning more in general but satisfied that he is maturing and getting better each year. I was thrilled with the final stats for Lindblom and just hope he can keep building on a line with Patrick and maybe Farabee.

Also mocking someone on a message board isn’t a good look... you come off as a pretty big douche.
- Lildots

He is a big douche. I gave him his big chance once upon a time and he declined. Stay clear of any interaction with this d bag

I think we now have enough depth that we can go back to the big 3 (28-14-93). You see what these lines can do to dictate games around the league (COL,BOS,CGY).
- ClaudeFather

I think they are now deep enough to do this also. Plus I like the idea of putting a faster guy like TK with Hayes. TK is also more of a shooter than Voracek.

In my opinion player development under Hakstol was very good and it was a strong point of his.
- MJL

Your dillusional, Hakstol did nothing for the team. Developing players was not his strong suit. Year one he played Giroux line with no discipline for not back checking yet Lindblom makes a mistake and he never sees the penalty kill again. G line went like 20 some games without an even strength goal for. H an H should have been fired after the 10 game losing streak.

Thought Farabee already decided to go pro. Please explain. Options are Phantoms or Flyers or split between the two.

Making the playoffs and actually winning 2 games tells me the second part of your first sentence is wrong.

I agree and would like to see this happen. JVR/Patrick/Konecny would be a nice second and Hayes/Lindblom/Farabee would work. I realize Hayes is getting the big bucks and will center the second line but holy moly folks Kevin Hayes is a fringe top six imo. He would be the best 3C in the league. Patrick will grow into 1C or 2C in the near future. Will be very interesting and I hope reward will be performance realated and not how much you make.

Here's the thing. When you deteriorate from discussing the topic to discussing each other you're very likely ALL violating the code of conduct.

Take a step back. And realize that if you really don't like someone and their opinion, you can ignore them. If they stop getting a rise out of you, they're likely to find another place to vent their overfilled spleen or feed their overweening ego.

So stop attacking each other or find another sand box.

Great news, I live in Canada and missed it in your local paper. He could easily make the team but for his development the AHL will give him a better chance of being the best he can be.

Fair enough, I will back off! I hope you notice how a few attach everything I say. As a diehard Flyer fan I rarely post here because of the crap you allow, including the crap I throw back. I can behave and like to talk constructively but that is next to impossible on HB/Meltzer site.

You know if Patrick does blossom and Hayes is also doing well, it would be great if both the 2nd and 3rd lines had equal ice time 5 on 5. The 2a and 2b that Bill has mentioned.

I agree that slots and ice time should not be based on salary. Salary can be reflective of many things but isn’t a tool for deciding fit in a team.

I agree completely. Be great if that happened and either way Hayes will likely be 2C and in time who knows Patrick could even be 1C and Couturier 2C and Hayes 3C. It really does not matter as long as the production is there and a 200' game is on display. October can't come soon enough, going to the Flyers game in Vancouver on October 12th.
