Canucks draft recap from a guy who actually watches the prospects play full games. - Nucker101
I like his reports. He has an interesting take on Podz. He calls him a Lion the entire time he is on the ice but questions his ceiling because it's unknown how far hard work alone can take you in the NHL. He's questioning his skill level.
Thanks Carol. Tried to watch Canada vs Sweden today. Was not even slightly interested. Oh well 60 more days till hockey starts again when meaningful games happen.

I'll take any hockey right now. Seeing Canuck prospects is icing on the cake. Will watch the USA/Finn replay later.

It's all reasonable to question. - boonerbuck
I like his reports but as I listened to more and more of them. It felt as if he compared junior plays skills at junior levels not what they would be in the future.
Newhook was so dominate he wanted him higher. Well ya, he played in a tier 2 league. Krebs, he just does everything so well. Great in junior but the NHL is about being elite, not being well at everything.

He seems to do the opposite of all that in his Podkozin report.
Zegras made it so close to 10... it was painful. JB said it would have cost their 2nd to move up for him.
What do you think is better for the Canucks? Podz and Hogz both or landing Zegras only in the 2 rounds? - boonerbuck
Those players like Zegras, Boldy sure did shine playing against teenagers on a dominant team. Though something missing for the big spotlight games.
Hogz and Podz were not hyped about because they were adjusting their games playing against men. Plus less exposure in NA. If projecting NHL impact Canucks should be better off with the two they picked.
He just isn’t a sexy pick but he’s young. Bouncing among many teams was difficult for him. Hard to settle in with line mates but he did stand out on hard work & tenacity & a coaches player. No doubt his numbers reflected that but leaves the question about his scoring upside. The NA ice will suit him nicely for his style but again idk yet what his ceiling is. More of a complimentary winger imo who won’t be fun to play against. Much will depend on our break outs & the C he gets to play with.
I wanted a playmaker like Boldy but we still can use more finish so i guess Podz is one player who helps us on possession & retrieval & if another prospect provides scoring then all is good. In the end PO hockey is more about the details & being opportunistic. Special teams are the decider very often. Good goal tending seals the deal.
