I really (frank)en hope Hunter isn't the coach for upcoming world juniors.

This stupidity cost people their lives, belongs in the Darwinian Awards.

Yup, been around boats my whole life. Have seen some unpleasant things in the least likely places. You need total respect and awareness in any body of water.

I honestly have no idea if you are agreeing or disagreeing. I'm not sure what the top 10 rankings of Canucks prospects by three different bloggers has to do with the Leafs prospect pool, which you compared directly. If you have no 2nd round picks, what is the likelihood that you get an NHL player from those picks? If you have 4 second round picks, what's the likelihood that you get an NHL player from those picks?

Current Canuck 2nd round picks/prospects:

Hoglander
Demko
Lind
Gajovich
Woo

Benning will probably go 3/5 out of that group. Fans here seem pretty pumped about 2 of these guys. Wouldn't you like it if Benning/Bracket had more guys like this in the system?

Any of those picks contributed to the team yet? Demko his first 2nd round selection from 2014. Are we sure we could wait a couple more years for the rest? I mean according to quite a few a lot of those 2nd round picks should have changed the team by now. Rebuild would be completely different place if 2 other 2nd rounds weren't given away even though the first one still hasn't impacted the team really.

For everyone I know that has been boating and a boat I've been on, I've never seen or even come across an boating accident. I've heard of others on the news. Hear it all the time.

My father makes me cringe way too often. He has poor balance and lack of common sense. We both have these small flat bottom aluminum punts for fly fishing... He's always **standing up** in his near full throttle with his 7hp outboard cruising quite quickly... life jacket on the floor behind him. In the spring, the lakes are cold enough to put you under in 5 minutes. No amount of female doging at him will bring him to common sense.

I was responding to a guy who was dumped out of his kayak a couple of years ago while fishing just after ice off on Dragon Lake. He was treading water trying to get his life jacket on and losing strength quickly. Someone in a jet boat beat me to him luckily. I had 2 anchors to pull first. What an idiot. The water was in the low 40's... no life jacket... brand new kayak he bought over winter...no experience... almost became a statistic.

I live in-between 2 lakes 4 miles apart. Lots of tragic things happen here despite warning signs and such. Quite a few this season already. Be safe people!

You win, having more draft picks is stupid.

People really do lack the common sense to know when something is dangerous and they are making a stupid decision. There is a fine line whether something could and might happen.

I don't remember any lives being lost in this instance. It's good you were there with us and know everything. "It can't happen to me" instance right?
- manvanfan

You can be flippant if you like, I spent several years....several fcuking years, recovering bloated bodies as a rescue specialist.

Absolute stupidity even if nothing resulted from the asinine decisions of the so call adults.

I am wondering from the "whiners" club what exactly could have Jim Benning done better over his time to make this team more competitive and be SC finalists by now?

Please no "what if", actual solid proof of how things could have been different.

Also how many are up for the vacant Minnesota Wild job?

- manvanfan

I would think he'd have someone in mind when he canned the last guy. Likely someone from within.

He's usually the hardest working player on the ice. Aggressive and relentless. He takes the puck to the net attacking in the dirty areas. Really good on the boards... defensively aware... back checks. He's also not a wussy. He'll get right up in players faces. He's going to be a bull. Basically 200 lbs when drafted at 17 years old.
- boonerbuck

Yep I'm pretty pumped about v-pod. What I also saw was he crashes the net. Who on our team does that? Hes gonna be a great addition
