I'm not sure if anyone posted this? I just had to laugh at the part about the Isles Big moves. Re-signing some of your own players is not making big moves.

It was pretty impressive that they locked all of these guys up but that was of course a product of not signing any FA’s save for Varlamov. So what I’m saying is they were big moves imo but Lou signing all of them was in direct relation to striking out in FA. He could’ve struck out in free agency and all of our FA’s could’ve bolted then we would’ve been really screwed. I think that’s the point.

I think of adding to the roster like the Rangers and Devils did as big moves. Isles moves were status quo.

Gotcha! I just think it was a strange comment regarding the Isles and fits the Rangers and Devils offseason better.

Well Vancouver's coach and Eriksson really don't get along; it's gotten quite public. Eriksson has been quoted that it would be best if he moved on. As far as Boeser is concerned, they just don't have the cap space and this would work for both teams. Beauvillier would come in around 2.5 - 3 M which they could handle and Boeser would come in at around 5 - 5.5 M which the Islanders could handle.
- buster29

I think you're way low on Boeser. He's going to probably be around $7M per

All of the Flyers good 'prospects' have graduated so I'm not sure what kind of comment that is. As far as York, Dobson has the edge now but I wouldn't sleep on him, might change your tune in two years.

Joel Farabee looks pretty friggin good every time I see the kid.

Erik Erlendsson: The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk to a one-year contact at $1.75 million.

does that come off what the Ranger's are getting cap hit for or is it completely seperate? I think it's separate.. yes?

Separate. Shattenkirk will still collect a paycheck from the Rangers (2/3 of it spread over twice the amount of years remaining) plus his salary from TB.

Funny enough, with FL's lack of state income tax...he will make more money on that deal than he would've with the Rangers this season.

All this is was a bunch of people protesting at a press conference and a low-rent mayor threatening a lawsuit which may never even make it to court....if they even decide to try and file one

But the people of Floral Park want high paying jobs, like the ones Amazon will give you and 1099 you so they don't have to offer you benefits

this country needs to stop listening to idiots who wake up every day looking for a reason to be annoyed. Traffic? you live within a mile of the Cross island, Southern state, Northern state, LIE and the van wych, .. you are worried about Traffic?

This is what meetings are like in 2019. https://www.foxnews.com/p...ad-gendered-pronoun-usage

All this is was a protest and some empty threats. The state has jumped through the required hoops and these people are grasping at straws to try and delay the inevitable.

Right out of the article:

I highly doubt NYS is going to call off the entire project because 150 angry residents protested about it

Exactly. It's a done deal. Like you said its just grandstanding at this point. They know its happening and they're just trying to appease the people that vote for them by speaking out against it.
