What is this negative/positive impact metric you’re using? Is this numbers-based? - jimmy mcnaulty
Yes.
Laine is an elite, elite shooter. Beyond that he’s a below average player |

Cozens better be the truth because Caufield is making every team look stupid for passing |

Thanks.
Also, your argument for Skinner is, perception-wise, a difficult one to make. Especially in Buffalo where we are obsessed about the opinions of strangers and the out-of-state/international media.
Still, you’ve made your point admirably and I now have even more love for Skinner.
And Laine is still a sniper, but he’s not trending how an elite sniper should be trending.
Jeff’s game is maturing nicely. He’s the best player he’s ever been. That’s exciting. |

I'm excited about Johnson. Looked real good out there. You also gotta remember that they're just kids playing other kids at this point. The top of every class should look beastly at the world juniors. |

What impressed you about him, serious question as I was not able to watch the game.
How did Samuelsson look?

Which prominent player do you think the Sabres were getting for an offer sheet? |

Well it is either a RhD or LW, clearly.
Tkachuk for sure. |

He scored 37 goals with Victor Rask as his primary center 2 years ago - sbroads24
I like that you’re the Skinner defender. It’s a little strange that a Sabre who finally pots 40 in a season would even need to be defended, though.
And it’s far more refreshing to be reminded of his positive contributions than squabbling over how many hundrefds of thousands of dollars he was overpaid. |

Positionally sound, good passing, he is small, but uses his stick well. Jumps in the play when needed, example being his goal (which was a snipe). Plays smart. I didn't watch all the game though, so maybe I just saw a few good shifts. Samuelsson looked good too. |

And I like your unshakable support for Caufield. You boarded that train early and permanently.
But there’s an interesting point here. I think Botts’ drafting is generally regarded as his strength, but it’s put to the test with the Cozens pick. The depth of this past first round, the choices he had at that spot, and how it plays out for each of the players is going to something to watch. |

This is actually mind blowing, and I have said repeatedly, Skinner was one of our best 2 way forwards, if not the best 2 way player on the team last year - BeadyEyedDouche
He is a stud. He will be a Kane type that will produce at a high level into his 30’s. We are putting a great team around him. Eichel continues to mature mentally and physically. Dahlin will be the best offensive Dman in the league soon and will play with Skinner a lot. Skinner could be a 100 pt player in the next few years |

Better than a chance a statistical certainty given the fact players start to decrease in productivity at about 27 and Laine is about to hit his high point and that he is already a better player. - GilPerreault11
Or he could continue the downward spiral of last year and never score 30 goals again.
There is no guarantee he goes back to his 40 goal ways either. |

I see he was able to match our 1st Rd Draft pick in his initial outing. Glad he's keeping up with our pick |

I get the cozen pick in botts eyes he has balls for making a really really risky pick I would have took Zegras ( if I wanted a center )who will develop into a sure number 1 center
I just don’t like project players like cozen it just never works out for us |
