I get the cozen pick in botts eyes he has balls for making a really really risky pick I would have took Zegras ( if I wanted a center )who will develop into a sure number 1 center

Zegras = Sure fire elite number 1 C

Cozens = Tyler Dubinsky if he's lucky

Caufield = 2nd coming of Rocket Richard.

Johnson = Jordan Leopold, at best

Shinkaruk = Still in the league

I'm excited about Johnson. Looked real good out there. You also gotta remember that they're just kids playing other kids at this point. The top of every class should look beastly at the world juniors.

Hughes in the world championships looked out of place. I get that he’s young but kakko dominated. Eichel his draft year played great.

Not saying either are busts. Just saying they might not be nhl ready right now

How is he not a risky pick? he will have develop into this mean player that is relentless like Ryan Kessler if not your just looking at a Brandon Dubinsky which is ok but not that high

Zegras Has easier path to the NHL in my opinion

Caufield is an undersized , slow, highly talented SHOOTER, he has a wicked shot....


There is more to ice hockey then the shooting but you can cheer your player WITHOUT bashing others out of personal fear or whatever drives your comments.....

And I don’t get anybody’s logic saying Patrick Laine is terrible when he scores 30 goes on a bad year and will most likely have 40 to 50 goals next year

Last summer cozens was even ranked the 2nd best prospect going into the season.

It went Hughes. Cozens kakko

So cozens is still a high end talent.

I think cozens is Eichel lite. Not as talented but has A great shot, great speed, excellent skater, and loves offensive zone entries.

At career 2C. That is fine.

You're literally not reading the context behind the statement.

No one said Laine is a terrible hockey player. Laine is, and these are facts, is a forward version of Rasmus Ristolainen. His even strength play was extremely bad last season. His PP game is excellent. He can't play in his own end. And he demands the kind of money that says he's a great two way player. But he's not.

That’s the goal a Ryan Kessler type no ? Will see what he becomes in 3-4 years he just needs to work hard and get rid of his RNH body but watching that transformation is going to be exciting

The only reason why Cole dropped was his size and General managers continue to make that mistake and think you have to be big to be successful
